Lol....its showing the diversity of all things Brasil!!!!.

I was worried that there would be no one there coz of all the protests. Happy to see a full Stadium and so such visuals in the performances..

We don't get to celebrate much in this day and age as a world. - so i don't begrudge the World Cup at all... I think there are many other ways we can help the homeless individually. Think about it - if we all did what we could there wouldn't be any one that was homeless.

This is one of the few times that we ( speaking about England) actually come together as a country to: talk / celebrate / cry over the tournament .I love this country when there is a big sporting event on as we forget our differences and are all united in one goal. Bringing that Cup home!!

I loved it when the World Cup was held in South Africa last time, because, just like you mentioned, we were all united. It's really special. :)
Speaking of the opening ceremony, beautiful, cute visuals and very interesting to learn more about their culture and nature, but I must say that I was very disappointed by the sound! I'm not sure if it was just me or just our broadcast (does everyone have the same broadcast?) but I couldn't hear anything.. Just a whole bunch of muffled sound.
Oh and iJojo, my siggy matches your location!
Whoops, second edit. Just wanted to say that I'm off to watch the opening game!! :D

Hey Amy.... I totally agree about South Africa- that was an awesome World Cup. And the sound during this opening ceremony was awful. Didn't even get to hear the JLo song that everyone has been talking about.

Hahaha re signature - I've just seen that.

I listened to the song on YouTube, it's not bad but I prefer Shakira's World Cup song, even though it's not official. At least the opening game was exciting! :D

I just enjoy the spirit of it, our family sits together with snacks and we watch the games. I'm not usually a big fan of soccer, but the games during the World Cup tend to be more exciting than normal ones because the teams give it their all! :D
