This is an odd topic but I was wondering... do you ever get your name spelled wrong by people? I do all the time, even in the Forums LOL. People always spell my name Stacy, or Stacie, and it annoys me... my name is spelled S T A C E Y but people seem to always forget the E in my name or add an I E and forget the Y... it's especially annoying if my name is right there where they can see it and they still spell it wrong LOL. What about your names? Is your name spelled differently than most others with your name spell it?

IDC if a stranger or a friend gets it wrong. But mine's easy and rarely missed. But I misspell a lot of things, so I get it. Especially if a name comes with a dozen alternate and equally common ways it could be spelled. Expecting everyone to get it like mom put it on the birth certificate or we chose to use is a little much. Your close buds will get it, but strangers get a pass.

PS - Anyone who gets close to me in Yo gets their named altered. I don't call anyone who is a friend by whatever their tag is. They get a new one from me, and sometimes it changes daily. LOL

I'd probably call you Josy if we hung out a bunch. I'm pretty simple with my annexing of names, but it let's the people I know that it's "me" when I have a weird name on display. I will also say "allo", and that also let's them know it's me.

I've learned a few tricks in being civil with my buds. It is not fair that I always change my name and they can't recognize me. So these pet names and the "allo" are my calling card.......just like my siggy in here.

Unfortunately both my first and last names get pronounced and spelled incorrectly. Secretly I always wished my first name was Grace. So that is how I named my avatar. I hate my names and my name being TOTALLY mispronounced at my college graduation was the last straw. My family call me Cher because I have always had long hair. Plus a ton of make up when I was younger. I secretly love to sing in the shower, too. Now she is not so much the woman I idolized. I have to use my real "catholic" names when I work. Here in Yo, no one spells Gracie wrong and most friends know how much I dislike my real name.

All the time my in game and real but it does not bother me in the least.

Most people just call me Snap and my real well it can be more commonly spelled differently than how I do so I am use to it.

I've spelled my name wrong... and I have had it my entire life

Upside is I felt like I was in the witness protection program for like three seconds. Downside is I goofed up my own name. And I often wonder if I am writing in my "Own" real handwriting.

It's a whole thing.
