The low level of competence demonstrated by the CDC is amazing to me (they must look to hire those at the bottom of their graduating class, or those having an affinity to BS).

- Of 579 attending a camp for about 10 days, all previously testing negative, all wearing masks; 344 were tested, yielding 260 (76%) positive tests, of whom only 100 (38% of tested, 17% of total) reported having minor subjective symptoms consistent with a minor cold (so what).
Their conclusion was: "This investigation adds to the body of evidence demonstrating that children of all ages are susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 infection”.
A more rational conclusion is that:
- Covid-19 is a very contagious but a substantially benign infection;
- testing for such an infection is a waste of time (largely because the testing isn’t much more accurate than flipping a coin see below, and testing for a benign disease is simply dumb).
- measures recommended by the CDC, including the wearing of masks to prevent the spread of this very contagious but substantially benign infection was largely ineffective and unnecessary;
- yielding more broadly in conclusion, that the CDC appears to be substantially incompetent, seemingly more interested in promoting their own agenda than serving the best interests of the general population. I guess if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

i am sorry for ANYONE having to deal with this virus and for everyone affected by it, but it's Not anyones place to tell me, i should be wearing a mask or carrying paper work around to prove to anyone, who feels it's their place to call me out, that my lungs dont function.
Im waiting for someone to explain to me, why those healthy, (those without covid) are, basically being quarantined the same as those who have covid.
my two cents.

people with certain health issues and under a certain age do not have to wear a mask... at least here in canada.
and healthy people were asked to self isolate to make the social interacting less. the covid positive were healthy to at 1 point, but self isolating and quarantining are 2 totally different things. i dont wear a mask to protect myself, i wear a mask to protect others. if i ever was to get the virus, i am taking every precaution i can not to unknowingly spread it to others. i can put my"rights" aside for a short while if it benefited the public health and mask, gloves and self isolatiing works... my province have no reported active cases at this time although foreign workers are sstill flowing in so that could still change.. the reason people have to carry the paper work is to eliminate those that would falsely claim health issues. sometimes we have to think about the good for all people and not only ourselves.

I can find research that backs anything i believe in. But while I was at the store today I thought about your first remark,. and it is true people have died for your right to live and die in the way that you choose and believe what you believe. I myself use this same excuse to use the illicit drugs I take that I believe should be legal. So carry on, and I bet you get COVID before I die from said drug use, and yeah, the greater good is at stake here, my drug use will not kill anyone, but your beign case of COVID could most likely only kill the elderly and people of color so research that and carry on. Oh and just so you know I am not calling you a raciest or guilty of age discrimination, I am sure you have said friends in both catagories

Her work was really good about it and even bought some of the expensive face shields that don't fog for her and the others that can't wear normal masks.
Personally I would rather wear one if it even maybe has a chance to help keep others safe. I don't expect people with real medical conditions to wear one. I have had asthma since I was a baby and I know how difficulty breathing can make anything worse. I still wear when I go in stores and out though. It's my hope that it helps keep others safe and it doesn't hurt me much. An hour at most in a store is doable. Now, I don't think I could work all day in one. So, 2 different beasts there that people are arguing over. I just don't like the I don't want to because... no reason at all, seems rather selfish to me. I mean the point is to protect others. Also even if the rate of death is considered low, it does not include the other medical problems people are having after getting Covid. So, the rate of how it might adversely effect you is a lot more than one percent. Also, I don't care how low the percent is. I would hate to be the reason that the germs spread and anyone I come in contact with got sick. I couldn't live with that knowledge that I could've possibly prevented it and just didn't want to

i am wearing one in the two places i go... supermarket and pet store. i hate it because of the same reason as your child and it makes me panic breathe and i have to keep moving it. if anything i feel more as risk wearing a mask... when we didn't have to we had social distancing 2m markers and arrows in stores and because i didn't wear one i was conscious of keeping my distance and also not touching my face. now im wearing one and all the arrows and markers have been moved so people don't keep their distance. i am also always adjusting the bloody mask and moving it every now and then so i can breathe for a bit

i wear a mask too. But i also suffocate in doing so. My husband wears a mask, as does my stepson when he is out. We are not wanting to bring this into our home. What im saying is, IF someone is not wearing a mask, it is not anyone elses place to call anyone out on it, because we dont know what that person may suffer from.

I feel the same way. I would never demand to know why someone wasn't wearing one. I try and be positive and expect others to want to help too. So, I try and just think of it as they have a medical reason not to and not even dwell on it.
People have been insane in our small town on both sides of the debate. They have started fights, cops called and everything. threatened other people, gotten in fights. Both sides. Some were people demanding others remove their mask and stop being sheep. Others were stalking around people yelling at them for not wearing one. If it is like that in my dinky small ass town, I can't imagine how much worse the nuttf*ckery is in larger areas!![]()

for example, today in burger king.. i am standing in line, minding my own business, buy1/get 1 free whopper coupon in hand, social distancing, mask and gloves on and this dude stands real close to me....i hate people in my personal space even without this pandemic, he is leaning on a shelf talking on his phone like 18 inches from me...i don't like it but do i say anything? aside from giving him a look, no,, i am an adult man and do not cause nonsense dramatic scenes in public. did i throat punch him in my mind, of course i did.

I am not aware of Canada currently keeping Americans from crossing the border, But I sure hope you are. Seems Amerrican;s have not shortage when it comes to being self serving and greedy. Even when it comes to human life
