First this thread is not about politics its about saving lives. My husband is an essential worker, and even though his workplace has been ravaged by COVID they have continued to work/ If it were not for my disability and the fact I am on medications that lower my immune response, I too would be essential. But many of my closest friends continue to work tirelessly on the front lines, and all people, regular, non essential people have to do to help is wear a damn facemask and at least attempt to socially distance. It is not asking a lot but every day I am forced to go out in public, there they are STUPID PEOPLE DOING STUPID THINGS Wear a facemask, you can take selfies at home, save a life, isnt that they least you can do

I don't know, but two of my husbands coworkers are in the hospital with COVID related pnuemonia and since others included BVG have posted similar threads, I come out of pure desperation I could be yadda about the current theme, but that would be usless, as God's not going to help with that either and I happen to love the theme

I'm an essential worker have been since the start. I'm also at a high risk due to a low immune system and I still don't a mask. Wearin a mask is up to the person and should be kept that way. My county has seen a drop in cases even with 90% of the town not wearin a mask. I choose not to wear a mask and thankfully live in a town where the sheriff and police refuse to enforce a mandatory mask order. My choice not to wear a mask also isn't stupid and it definitely doesn't make me stupid just means I don't believe all the hype the media created for the virus. The virus also has a 99% survival rate so I'm good.

The CDC gives consideration to children under 2, people with difficulty breathing, but not most asthmas , people who are unconscious, or inconpacitated.. They give consideration to people who are deaf, work in heat related job (my spouse works in one, and they still wear mask) and certain mental illness. If you know someone who falls in this catagory my heart goes out to you

Hope no one you care about comes down with this illness, the two I mentioned are in the ICU and did not get it at work, they got it in town and because they too felt it their right not to wear a mask, guess like you they have had a choice in how to die

I almost pass out every time I am forced to wear a mask, but it's better than getting steaming hot coffee thrown in my face or have a crazy person like these nut jobs attacking me... who in their rights minds would tells toddlers to their face that she hoped they'd die.... That witch would really be dead if she came up to my kids like that.

If you’re able to wear a mask, you should. If not for you, then at least for those around you.

I have no problem wearing a ninja mask in public.

Meh the virus has a 99% survival rate I'm good. I also know the people I care about are protected from the virus. The cases that have recovered from this virus far out way the people dyin from this hyped up virus. My county has seen a drop in cases and most everyone doesn't wear a mask so I'm good. The numbers are also false. Kansas just admitted to falsifyin numbers to justify mandatory mask orders... I don't believe the hype.

same here. i am claustrophobic and i hate my face being covered. i start panic breathing and have to keep moving the mask away to breathe for a bit. i was in a pet shop yesterday on one of our hottest days in the UK and had to remove it. the store was nearly empty anyway and the lady behind the till had removed hers and told me its ok. she said it's too hot for her and couldn't breathe and they are behind special plastic screens at the moment anyway

This is the sort of mentality that perpetuates the spread. Why can't we all be team players and fight to stop the virus as best we can? It's not much to ask for. Let's stop thinking about ourselves for one minute, and focus on the greater good. I understand those who aren't able to wear one for whatever reason, but you're willingly choosing not to. You may not care about yourself, but at least show some decency and respect to those you come in contact with.
