I have chronic kidney disease, have had it for the past 13 years and it has come to point I need to start dialysis. I’m scared, nervous, worried. I also need a transplant which is more scary than dialysis

I don't say or write trite things to try to make people feel better when they face life's hurdles. I think they diminish the reality. What you face is daunting for the strongest of hearts. But I do know that this journey for you will have bright spots if you seek them. Life is not over. You are not the disease or circumstance. Don't forget to live as you deal with this. Fight like hell for the good things. I will hope for a match to come through quickly on the transplant list.

you are strong to have gone that long without dialysis. You sure have every right to feel all those things,but don't get too far ahead or let your mind begin to overthink on things--it loves to do this to us..I pray there is a match for your kidney & that things will go smoothly with that. I also say you are respected for even letting us into part of your real world... and I believe in prayer so you will be in mine
