There is a notification alongside the Desktop Game, (if you have notifications turned on), that says they have deliberately turned the Slots OFF in YoWorld Mobile because it's not paying out properly.
(I myself have lost out on around 2 million Coins because of this issue, but was continuing with the Slots for the Gifts, etc.)
The Vikings could / should have used the messaging system that is in YoWorld Mobile to let players know what is going on, instead of leaving everyone confused.
(Hey Vikings, how many YoMo players don't even know that it's ending very shortly???)
Turning the Slots of all together is preventing the Daily Quests from being completed , preventing players from earning up to 70 Free YoCash from the Slots Gems, preventing players from earning the 14 gifts from the Slots Gems, preventing players from Levelling Up before the game ends.
