Seeing as the forum takes your ingame name, isn't there a possibility that someone could have the exact forum name as someone else? What happens if your ingame name is a common one like "John" and someone else is named that on the forum??

Yeah it would be confusing.. but I'm guessing that's why they put our player IDs in parenthesis beside our names so we can tell the difference..

Yes but that's where our player ID comes in, that no one else can ever have the same as you.

Ah yes, but still.. It's not like you can remember everyones ID. It's just confusing, that's all :D

Usually depending on the person, you can kind of remember some of the numbers in their name. If it's someone I talk to or see occasionally I somewhat can remember their ID so if someone tried to copy them I can kind of compare the IDs to see who is real.

I know it's confusing but just got to adapt to it

Your player ID, post count and join date should ideally prevent people from pretending to be you. :)
