After nearly 2 hours of constantly having to refresh the game I'm pretty ..... unhappy. I managed to throw some stuff into the game to complete the gem challenge. But I'm not here for stress!!!
I used to do "Pollyanna" posts in the game and I've always tried to be positive. But now I'm past caring. No ads, constant refreshes and no fun,

I am so sorry that you have refresh issue and freezes, Lainie, but I am glad you came forward about it, even in a new thread. I have freezes too these few days, and since yesterday I noticed that the game response to our clicks are quite slower than usual. I don't think it is a browser or browser cache problem since I don't have any issue with other websites. I hope this is just something temporary and I hope they investigate it.

About Pollyanna posts, I am neither a fan of overly optimistic nor overly pessimistic outlooks about this game. Such posts look too unrealistic or too biased to me. The Vikings only need to see the truth, facts, objective facts, be they things that are good or bad, positive or negative. They need our objectivity, as objectivity and facts are what that can really help them to make informed decisions of what to do and how to do it.

I hope your gameplay will be better soon! Stress is detrimental to our physical and mental health.

I havent had as many issues since my provider stopped out to 'fixed' it ---

but I still find my internet bandwidth is so small I cant manage the game

Browser hunting might help - Opera fixed more then one of the issues i'm having

and surprised that yesterday I had zero issues with being rolled out and typically the more people off work and home the worst it is (Sunday evening I dont even try to get into YO most of the time -- because i know I just dont have the wifi support needed to stay connected) -- except during gems and I got rolled out everytime

Im sure there is a way to improve it, but might take a bit. I did speed tests and started to notice a pattern - that allow me to address the issues and I do have better game play. Good luck, hope it's a easy fix

It was so bad yesterday and last night both with freezing and the chronic booting from the server. The popup yesterday froze my screen and I had to close my browser and open it again. Then it happened again for no apparent reason; no popup or anything. Then I got disconnected when doing the GE. I also was returning a friend visit and nothing would happen when I tried to go back home. I could walk around their place in that room at least but I couldn't get out. Beyond frustrating and it gets worse by the week.

Hey Lainie

I’m really sorry to hear you’re having such a frustrating time — that sounds exhausting, especially when you’re just trying to enjoy the game and complete the challenges.

Just wanted to say that I personally haven’t been experiencing freezing or refresh issues lately, so it might be something specific to your connection or browser setup. I totally understand how annoying that is, though.

Here are a couple of things that might help:

-Try using the Brave browser — it works really smoothly for YoWorld and blocks unnecessary ads automatically.

-Clear your browser cache and cookies — sometimes that alone can fix a lot of weird loading problems.

-Disable any heavy extensions (like ad blockers or themes) just while playing, as they can slow things down.

-Make sure your browser is fully updated, and if possible, close any extra tabs or apps running in the background.

I really hope one of these helps — we all deserve a stress-free YoWorld session.

I was up til the wee hours last night trying to complete my ''Old Money'' room entry. I have to constantly reboot and the layering doesn't always stick either... frustrating for sure!

Seriously use Brave Browser
I have extra large giant troubles using Chrome and although my computer is a little slow because that's how it is Brave is great I can get on and actually play
I don't ( mostly ) get stuck in rooms with the yellow bar above my head; I can actually do stuff .
Course its WAY better on our newer computer but Brave is great it does stop adds and pop ups tho so if you like watching adds ....

Im with you folks on the frustration with this game. OMG... how many times is this going to refresh while trying to complete the latest gem contest? I haven't been able to complete even one of them yet due to the constant refresh and freezing....
Even after buying a new Mac... the issues remain the same. It's the game... its not my Mac.. its not my server.. it's the game!! :grr
I am MORE than happy and able to spend money on this game.. I used to spend lots!! But now.. I have to caution myself; do I really want to spend real money on a game that is broken? at least its broken to me and if im spending money on it, yes it matters!
What a shame... really!! :phew:

It was ugly this weekend. I've no idea who poured glue in their servers, but connecting and staying connected was like trying to get a toddler to write poetry.

I feel like we spend way too much time trying "work arounds" for defects within the game. NO ONE should have to switch the browser they use or constantly clear their cache to play a flipping game just to avoid freezing or constant refreshes, or any of the other things that malfunction in the game. Think about this, seriously. Who's responsibility is it to make sure the game is playable? Not us in reality. It's BVG's responsibility to have their game be playable. Too often I think die hard players feel like if they complain too much then the game will go away. That is 100% the wrong way to look at things. With out the PLAYERS of the game, guess who loses their revenue? Guess who doesn't collect a paycheck? Guess who doesn't get corporate bonuses or stock dividends. I'm not sure how much longer some are going to ignore that fact, & start demanding even the most basic thing in playing any game, which is ACTUALLY BEING ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME.

What a waste of time and effort....
Please fix this...

It took a refresh every few clicks to even open the clothing store. An hour of wasted time!

It's been happening to me for a week now. Constant refreshes, game becomes unresponsive and forces a refresh. Sometimes the AH is blank. When I try to take items from inventory or store it doesn't respond and I need to refresh again.

Yep, same here—refresh city all week. Constant refreshes, random disconnects, and the game freezing up or becoming unresponsive until I hit refresh again. For me, the issue with not being able to pull items from inventory or the store happens from time to time when I'm using the new room editor. If I switch back to the old one, things work again—so maybe it’s tied to that.

It’s super frustrating when you’re just trying to decorate and the game keeps grinding to a halt. Something’s definitely off right now.

Truth. Lately, it feels like playing YoWorld comes with an extra Super Challenge called "Technical Survival Mode." Switch browsers, clear your cache, maybe even do a little dance in front of your router...all just to get into your apartment without freezing or disconnecting.

I still love this game (I wouldn’t stick around if I didn’t) but it’s kind of wild how troubleshooting has become a part of the experience. And yeah, the community is awesome at helping out (big shoutout to the unofficial tech support crew!), but let’s be real: this isn’t on us to fix. It’s a game, not a part-time IT job.

Really hoping the devs are looking at this and working on real fixes, because we all want YoWorld to succeed (just preferably without needing to jump through browser hoops first).

 It's beyond frustrating. This is my AH most of the time this week
