I finished a wishlist of my own today......Guess what? No one even knew I had one. ;) Setting goals gives you something to work towards, and it feels much more rewarding when you do it for yourself...... :D

It don't bother me, if they have a large or small wishlist. I hope if they truly genuinely want an item, That they do get it. Sometimes there are some peeps that lie about what they have. I really wish we had our profiles back it helps with the gifting.

But only if they post a WTB :P

Really though, who better to gift to, than someone who actually wants to buy it for themselves?

so, there is a new term then??

WTB = want to buy
WTBG = want to be given ..

shouldn't be called wishlist.. to me, a wishlist is 1 time, maybe once a year at christmas, but, if it's continuous it should be labeled for what it is.. no???

I wish for...colorful quilts Suburban Theme.

I don't have a witty sob story to sell you on actually giving me any though.

I will not post an apartment link for you to gift it so you better know how to do that yourself.

I am in perfect health as far as I am aware.

I can afford to buy them.

However, I will thank you for your generous donation. :)

Here's the thing, A wishlist wouldn't bother me, if it was like it was back in the day, when it was first created. The wishlist was never intended to be used to beg for yocash and 08 rare items. It was more people looking for little items to decorate with. I am a decorator so I know how hard it is to find some items sometimes. If people have a wishlist looking for discontinued items to be used in decorating, I would have no problem helping them out. Now, when you start asking for 08 rare items and costumes that took me forever to afford for myself, I think that is extreme. There have always been things I wanted in the game, but I had to decide which items I wanted most and then save or sell til I could get it. The problem now is, they aren't satisfied when they are gifted. They want more and more. How much will be enough?

I actually saw someone gifted a Yohero on the old forum, long before they were re-released. That costume was worth quite a bit at that time. The post was, "what is the best gift you have received so far?" This person actually said, "I was gifted a yohero, but now I am hoping I get gifted a more expensive costume next time." Who says that? :lol:

I don't mind people having wishlists. People can create elaborate lists, pictograms or videos. It's great!! Heck, there's a whole section of the forum dedicated to it. I can choose whether or not to go to that section of the forum should I want to grant someone's wishes.
I'm responding to the OP when I say that I don't particularly like seeing the wishlist pictures in their siggies...on every one of their posts...in all sections of the forum.
To me, that is bypassing the rule of posting wishlists in the Wishlist section. I feel like I'm being forced to view it should I want to participate here. It's no longer a choice at this point.

What makes you assume we can afford ours? We might have unposted and unsaid "OMG wishes" that we are working on getting ourselves. Sometimes it takes time to get a wish. But that just makes it all the more satisfying when you do. :)
