I was looking for this pic, I seen this months ago... this is why the celtic cross was rightfully released .... there were more fake ones in the game then there was real ones! ...

and the problem now is.. unless this player was banned, they have all those crosses to sell... bubble machines... tables and tiles it looks like... all bank for that player...

Yes I agree it is rightfully released after seeing this, Hackers release these items even the volcano and dont want it to get released. I can see people complain if something was rereleased like 08's or pink rets or vegas furniture for instance. But complaining about a item that is released that never really was in the stores is pretty ridiculous, it's obvious hackers were behind it and deserve to be released in the market for everyone.

What makes me wonder is what that player in the picture above would do with their life if there was no YoVille/YoWorld? They amass vast amounts of "virtual riches" to what end? What is the point of their life?

I have one cross now & I have no plans on selling it. Makes me wonder what the hackers were planning to do once the game shut down? The harder they try, the more they ruin the game for the rest of the players. I mean, really? Is that what they really want in the end? If this game doesn't start generating money for BVG, there is still the chance we may lose it. They can't keep it going forever without it being a money sink, drain on resources....

I'm glad the cross was released after seeing a pic like the above.... sometimes I wonder if the hackers want the game to end...

nope... they were making real money... each cross sold gave them coins to sell... I count 66 crosses, selling at 10milllion each (they would sell fast) ... 66 X $20 ($2 a million they were selling coins for) .. that's why they did it, and that's just crosses.. they also did it with the bow and other items ...

Well if those are all Free Gift items he can just sit on them forever. Who knows. If the reason they put an item in the store is because the groups leaked copies into the game I guess they would be re-adding all the rares to the store.

Joseph YRW (185793131) wrote:Why is it that the celtic cross was pulled without warning (eveyone is saying this so I assume it is right), and ocne BVG releases it again a lot of people start complaining?

The garys pants were pulled from the game and later put back in and everyone wouldn't stop talking about how much of a good move that was on BVG's part :/ I think they were both good moves but It is very confusing how others think

Personally, I didn't/don't like the fact that Gary's pants were removed and then put back. I think once an item is removed it should stay removed. I really don't agree with BVG's take on that whole thing. Just like this bunch of bananas hh that was just released. When you hover over the item in the store, the little msg says "who knows when this will be back". So it's got a timer, but they are saying it might come back. What's the point of the timer? I just don't agree with how they handle these things. I get that it's their game and they can do what they wish, but it doesn't mean I have to agree.

Lol I think that is just a joke, they wont release the handheld bananas again I am sure of it. They are giving everyone 12 days to buy it and even if they reworded their statement, they can release short time/accidental releases, which these bananas are not one of

I disagree. I saw a statement by Gary saying they want to keep the option to return items to the store if they want to.[/quote]

Yep that's exactly what he said.

I agree and I don't think that has anything to do with why the cross was re-released.

I know that's not why they put the cross in the store.. just showing that there are so many fake items in the game, that can be traded ... much like the firewoman costume .. they made so many of those that they were selling them in bulk.. 20 for 20 million.... they did the same with cupids bow .. they controlled the game for the longest time...

To recap from my understanding of this:

Gary's pants were initially put in the store by accident. Oops. The Celtic Cross was put in the store by Zynga on purpose, but then pulled out of the store within 20 minutes with no notice because players complained about it? Is this for real? What kind of players did they have back then? So Gary's pants were pulled out of the store like a week after the accidental release with no notice and then BVG said if the pants start getting price jacked that they would put them back in the store. So the pants did get price jacked and went back to the store for good.

I think they would do the same thing with the Mystical Banana and other items that BVG makes. If they see the price start getting crazy maybe they just add them back to the store. Hopefully eventually they come out with limited time collectibles that will be safe from future re-release?
