I spent my first 40k on a Horned Gargoyle Statue......It was so expensive to me at the time D: I do not miss having to eat though....that was annoying to get all laggy when your energy dropped.

I still hang out in Yo from time to time and talk about real life.

Im wearing the starter hair I almost always wore right now. I didnt buy or rent any hair till I came back to the game in mid 2011 :p

lol thats harsh. Ive had that happen to me too. Half the fun is in trying to earn the coins anyway and its a good lesson that stuff can be re-released, so you sometimes have to expect to take a loss.

i used to like the tours of things people created, like the carnivals and such. BEFORE we have the real items, they had to actually be creative.

My first big purchase was that god awful big blue hot tub we couldn't even go in.

I saved for what seems like forever and then found one in an event for 7k.

Remember back in the day when events were more like garage sales of people getting rid of in store items they no longer wanted at a discount but more than what selling back to the game would get you?

I kinda miss that game.

You needed energy to walk and dance. You could send gifts that were tall lattes, hotdogs, egg rolls, fried clams and other items. You would eat them and get energy otherwise you had to wait for your energy to fill, like now when we go to the factory. But those items could be placed in rooms (still can be). My daughter and I used to get a lot from our friends and then a couple times a week hold events selling them for like 5c to 10c each, depending on how much energy they gave you. We would limit people to 100c of stuff that they could buy from us so we could spread the energy/love ... lol. We were always very busy when we were in business and we had a very cool shop set up that I still have pretty much the same now.

You could get in that hot tub and still can and yes I remember even buying a lot of coin stuff on forum that was in store at half price. We really had to watch our coins then.

Some people even sold their 08 costumes back to store to get money to buy new stuff! Coins were hard to come by then.

I miss the old Yo-layout. When you had your energy level, inventory and everything on that bar above your screen, and you could rate houses on the bottom of the screen.. It was always such a big deal to people that they'd make events in jobs for you to come and rate their "pad" Don't forget the adoption centers! Babies would go roaming all over Yo trying to find parents.. and talking with w's " Pwlease awdopt mwe" ugh I miss all of this!! lol
