So what if items lasted longer then a few hours in stores? What if it took Zynga more than a few hours to realize that they accidentally released it? Take a look at Gary's pants, they were accidental, yet they were in stores for a full weekend, does that mean they were official? No, the developers themselves said it was accidental! This is why I say, if it was released for an alarmingly short time, then it could fall into any of the two categories, since Zynga themselves never tagged the items as accidental/official.
So once again, no one knows, we will have to wait and see.
exactly
When an item is released within a category in a store, it has been officially released...PERIOD. It was not an accident....was it a mistake...maybe....but it wasn't an accident.
An accident is something unavoidable. A mistake is something done consciously, intentionally, that doesn't seem like it will lead to trouble until after the fact.

Theoretically they should have, but Z was always about the money. They did every horrible thing in the book to get more money and that included getting their user base to install malware toolbars, which Z then laughed about. Z created this re-release, unreleased, short term accidental release re-release situation that we are faced with.
Z constantly broke their policies while chasing the greenback.

Amazed because even though I had quit the game when Zynga was around, I was here when BVG opened and this was different. People were extremely grateful with BVG and some even treated them as idols to be honest. I am against treating anybody as an idol but some recognition is not bad after all they did. Now we're moving torwads the game that Zynga had. We ask and ask and ask and nothing is enough. "I am happy if they just release WGN hair" no you're not, you'll always want more. They have done a lot already, let's try to be patient! We know how re-releases drove players away from Zynga but we didn't learn a thing. I am sure that the re-release of some items will drive lots of players away, same as I was sure that it was Zynga's end when lots of people didn't seem to notice. Enough is enough, friends. Let's have fun in the game the good old way and keep the little utopia that we had when this all started.

Nope, not really. They could have easily specifically named it as an item either way, and it wasn't.
Honestly all this angst over a protecting the pixel wealth of a religious icon is a bit disturbing.
Its like what the item actually is and symbolizes, has been lost in the rush to protect its elite status or how much someone can get for its sale. Its all very Indiana Jones, lol. Except with the holy grail or ark of the covenant. Interesting.

As it's been stated a few times in this thread quoting Gary's interview with YoRehab, if any item has officially been released by Zynga in the past we will not be putting it back into the game. Accidental releases such as the Menorah Hat are different, as they weren't an official release.
All of your 08 and 09 costumes, retro specks, and all the other valuable items that have been released before are not going to be re-released. As Gary mentioned, we understand the value of rare items and want to keep it that way.
If you see people posting 'rumor' threads about releases coming tomorrow or next week, if it's not a post from one of us then it's exactly that, a rumor!
I hope this helps clear things up for everyone!

Failed attempt is subjective. I call it a resounding success that made the hackers and the plutocrats aware that they would no longer be able to lord their ill gotten gains over the poor any longer.
