So the axe falls like this.... which part of the yo-population do they want to keep?
There is no pleasing solution - and I doubt they'd miss me and my lousy $20 every 2 or 3 months, but I can't be the only one about to walk out if the prices do not stabilize.

The single problem with discussions like this, is that some people that only look at the game through the lens of how they play it and totally invalidate how others play it while doing so..this game isn't just a decorating game for many many players - a lot of whom also pay substantial amounts to pay.

That is also a problem. So only the people who pay large amounts should be able to call the shots?
SMH. It's a lose-lose situation. No one is going to win.
Just like it was with Zynga, we will not have the ultimate say on this matter.
BVG will and it looks like people like me are on the losing side. BVG has no plans to re-release any of Zynga's items. So eventually I'll get tired of waiting for prices to come down and walk away forever.
Sad end to a very fun game.

+1.
And with BVG, I think there will be plenty of coin items for those who can't afford to spend real money on the game to invest in.
Samberg (185737325) wrote:Exactly.
Even without re-releases, BVG will eventually release their own original content for people to buy. I'm sure some of it will be nice, some it will suck and some will be meh. Just the nature of the beast on that and personal preference.
You don't need to own 08 cossies, rets or cupid bows to enjoy this game. And if you do, without them being re-released, save up for them. Buy some of the new content BVG releases and hope you get a sought after-must have item when it gets discontinued so you can sell it.
Just because I say stuff like re-release everything or my snide protect the pixels comments doesn't mean I don't understand how the game works nor how to work within those parameters to get the items that I do want.
Just like real life, realize one thing, you will NEVER possibly have everything.

Oh be quiet.
It still wouldn't bother me if everything was re-released.
By the way, that furry upper lip you have better be the Iconic Comedian Mustache and not that Movember re-release basically knock off version! If it's the Movember you'll never hear the end of it from me.

My stand, either since both have pros and cons including the fact thank goodness I am not that hooked and attached in this game anymore at this time.
One thing what I did find it hard to accept, among the many, is the reasoning of "I bleed a lot of blood and experienced so much hardship to get these items and you all especially the newbies should feel the same way and should bleed a lot of blood and experience such so much hardship to get these items" mentality. It is like a crab mentality with bashing and downgrading than to build team work community and be unified for everyones positive progress.
For now I am not a big fan of "I worked so hard and had hardship in buying and selling so it shouldnt be easy for you ever". LoL maybe someday I might.

Yoworld's economy is in tatters and people are hanging on to the past for all its worth. It is time to let go and embrace the future of the game.
Under Zynga's watch hackers and price jackers ran the yoconomy into the ground. People took advantage of the psuedo Laissez-faire economy that was birthed in Z's outhouse to the point that a culture of entitlement has become entrenched among certain players.
If Yoworld is to survive the yoconomy needs to be rebooted. In it's current form it is unsustainable. Something needs to give. If the economy is to be rebooted items need to be devalued. The only items that should not be re-released are collectibles. Everything else is fair game.
The pet store will have provided BVG with a small taste of the whinging associated with re-releases. If re-releasing themes, items, unreleased and short term released items is going to be done, it needs to be done in one foul swoop. You cannot re-release items slowly over time, this will only create a long term drama. All items need to be re-released at once without forewarning.
That way all the players will cry at once, they will go through the stages of grief and when all is said and done, Yoworld will finally free of the baggage of the past and people will be able to look to the future, a future of opportunity and possibility under management that actually cares for the game.
It needs to be done soon, during this transition period. Leave it too long and it will be to late.
Re-releases are good for the game, you need to look past your greed and virtual wealth. Sometimes you need to take one for the team, if there was going to be a time to do this, this is it.
I have to agree Pete and I'm prepared to take one for the team
I am an old player and I pay real money (much, much more than I would care to admit to hubby) for YC. I traded, bought and sold to have items worth "millions'' but I would not be sorry to see these items re-released into the store - its the luck of the draw isn't it? Some items turn out to be worth a lot and some aren't.
The future of our game lies in being able to attract and keep new players. Its becoming increasingly difficult for anyone - new or old poor or rich - to buy items at the moment. Have any of you been to sales lately? The prices are ridiculous.
How many of you can actually afford to pay 10 million for a hair? This is what I was offered for a hair I had and never wore.
Re-release themes (not collectibles) and leave them in store. Let's make the game more attractive for new players and sustainable for older players.

Not to be funny or anything but it says your join date is 15 may 2014. As a matter of interest, if your join date is correct, how much yocash have you purchased in the month you have been playing?
