I'll still play a bit just to see friends but I won't start with spending money and trying to work my way back up again. It took me long enough to get where i'm at today. I don't understand why people are still asking for re-releases. Bvg is going to put some awesome items out...I have a great feeling about that.

It's not just about getting old items, its about bringing some sanity back to the yoconomy. Re-releasing is a way to stabilize the yoconomy, not to punish older players. Even if BVG brings out new items will it have an effect on the crazy yocash rate, probably not. The yocash rate will probably just increase even more. For this game to survive it needs new players, both casual and whales, and the game needs to be affordable to new players too.

When we "worked" our way up we didn't have to contend with the current rate as new players will have to.

OMG This!!! This exact thing. New players are NOT going to get the nice YC rates we all started at. They are going to jump in with both feet, have NOTHING to sell and be facing YC rates of whatever insanity rate is out there right now. What is it? 50k to 1? I lost track last year. At 600c per factory visit they are going to give up VERY quick.

Unless BVG finds a way to KEEP new players in the game - they might not have it running very long either as it will bleed upon their resources no matter how good intentioned they are. People like ME will NOT be buying YC ever again. It might not be much right now, because I'm starting over in my RL after being HOMELESS for months. I have to get my RL situation stable before I can invest in a game.

Think of the newbies before you whine. I could care less if everyone has 08's to wear or if everyone gets the same furniture in their homes. I just want to decorate and the way it sits now. I can't. It's frustrating to no end. I just log in, work my one factory shift and log out. I can't deal with the yoconomy right now. I doubt the newbies will either.

And that's why they should buy their own ;)

I would never bite the hand that feeds.. their money, their price.

Yeah there is the option if I was Bill Gates or Rockefeller. Don't you think if I COULD buy YC then I would? 100k to 1? So a 12yc couch should cost 1,200,000 coins?? Yeah that makes me want to play. Not a chance.

I'm doing what I can to keep patient and see what BVG has up their sleeves for this issue. I hope like heck they fix the yoconomy. I want my fun decorating game back. Not this mess I see now. Way back when YC dealers were affordable. Not so more now. I have 200k on my account right now and have no plans to sell 40 to 50 items in my inventory to buy just 1 insanely overpriced YC item. Most of the stuff I have, everyone probably has plenty of anyway as it was all coins items in the store on clearance. Other people stocked up way more than I could afford.

BVG my hopes are on you..... Don't let me down.

Demands, Demands. That's what every game developers love.
Do you think I live in some lap of luxury? No, I buy yocash when I CAN, I don't have every single thing I've ever wanted but you don't see me complaining on how 'Yocash Dealers' have ruined the game. Without them, I am pretty sure decorating would be impossible. We lost all of our generous, give-away Yocash dealers from un-relenting greed. Again, I will repeat myself.. Yocash dealers do not have to sell to you if they choose not to, be grateful for them keeping the game afloat while bringing more items into game for all of us to enjoy. If decorating is what you want.. there are plenty of nice coin items to decorate with.. then again, you want what you want and don't care how you come off to others just because you want cheap yocash items.

And I believe with BVG that there will be even more nice coin items for people to decorate with... but nobody is even giving them a chance to release anything and to see what they have in store for us.

Well said...and that's what I don't get. People say. What about the new people? Well if the new people aren't buying yocash then what about them? I'm not trying to be mean towards any of them but if the new people want things and want to work their way up...buy yocash. Simple as that.

I'm waiting for BVG. They are either going to save the game fully or else drive prices up higher. I refuse to participate in the madness I see in the AH. I won't visit sales for the fear I will get laughed at and booted for only having 200k to spend.

I'm patient. I'm busy playing other games that don't cost me anything while I wait. Their first release will speak volumes about how the game is going to go. They are on a slippery slope. I'm hoping for the best with them.

Then they aren't paying BVG's bills or paying for BVG to keep up with YoWorld.

I'm sure that BVG will release good items new items and houses etc., both yocash and coins, because they have already shown us that they care more then Z. That being said, it still won't affect the current economic climate in yoworld. This thread's intention was a discussion about stabilizing the yoconomy and re-releases as a means to do that.

Side note, I'm really getting irritated with myself typing yoville and then having to correct it to yoworld all the time when I type

And that's fine...now people like me that love the game the way it is and love to collect...well we're ready to open our wallets for new things to buy and sell to get our wanted items.

Ok what's the purpose of the poll since it has been stated that re-releases will never intentionally happen?? I'm really at a loss. How about we wait for new stuff to be released, hold on to what we collected or sell them as we see fit (like we have for 5 years) and move on. I do not have a lot of 'vintage' stuff I liked but there were also stuff I was wondering why they drew it in the first place.

New company, new things, game saved.....I'm happy.

I DO THAT TOO!!!

Anyways... even if it doesn't stabilize the economy, it will still help new players out to have new coin items to decorate with or hoard until they're removed from store and go up in price. And who knows, maybe BVG will have a way to stabilize the YoEconomy without rereleasing anything.

I'm starting to think we all just needed something to discuss haha.
There really isn't any point to this thread. Bvg made their stand and that's that.
I really don't think they'll ever re-release. I have faith in that.

At least people can discuss it without being catty. Maybe it's a good thing that a ban here results in a ban in-game... keeps people civil towards one another.

I'm all for a good discussion while we wait. They have cleaned up a lot of the game so far. That was more than Zynga was willing to do. I just hope the release happens soon. Getting bored of just going in and changing my avi. Not much else to do in game while we wait.

It was stated that it was not intentional to re-release the pets as they where not marked limited edition. Limited edition items are not necessarily re-releases. The pets was a mistake.

They also state that,
We can absolutely re-iterate at this point that we do not plan to bring back limited edition items

Old themes are not necessarily limited edition so theoretically they could be bought back into the game.

The only other place I can find where re-releases are mentioned is the FAQ where it says, "Unlikely". Unlikely is an ambiguous word, leaving options open.

Thus leaving the option of re-releases open ended.

Limited Edition - an edition of a book, or reproduction of a print or object, limited to a specific number of copies.

There were not a certain amount of pets you could purchase, there was a time limit, and they were taken out of game. Hence the limited edition.. anything that was taken out of game is considered by definition a limited edition item.

I buy my own Yo Cash, sold what some would die to have -- as soon as it's popular with the teens I'm happy to pass it on to someone that will use it .... rather then have items just to have them.

I dont believe in YO wealth and that our items have no value out side of the emotion attachment we might develop for certain items (I grin every time I leap onto my YO hammock and enjoy the cool jungle (bug free) breeze.

I would rather see items re-released, a bit here and there ... so that anyone interested could own it -- and so that our new players will feel part of our fun....

it is simply not fun if someone is so busy coveting Yo items that they fail to realize we are suppose to be having real fun.

---

I know, its all about re-sale value. But as soon as you have enough coin to buy any new release your interested in -- why do you want or need more coin? .....there will never been enough 08 items in the game, unless they are re-released. The numbers just wont ever support the number in the game of those that want the items.

(however, I do see that many that want an item now wouldnt want that said item if everyone had the same fair chance to own it - because for a few it really is more important to have a difficult to achieve look.)

We were informed about the time limit on limited edition items. Themes or items where we were not informed of a time limit like Zen for example was, would not be considered limited edition. Again the definition of limited edition and to what themes or items it applies to is debatable.
