Yes that's me!
You aren't going to believe this, but I never got to see the show ha ha ha!

I am hoping it comes out on DVD so I can finally see it, LOL.

It was so much fun to film. National Geographic came out and filmed me in my home for 5 dayz, then we drove to Dallas Texas to see my Environmental Medicine doc who has brought me a long way towards healing. I still have a ways to go, but am slowly getting there.
I was so hoping the episode would gain some awareness of MCS to the public, and the cause of the illness-which are exposure to toxins in our everyday products.
A lot of what I said got cut out of the episode, as they took 5 full dayz of film. I am so curious what did not get aired.

I have met many just like me living life after environmental poisoing.
A totally brave and inspirational collective are those of us living with MCS. I am honored to call them my friends.

You let them put you on reality TV and you've never seen your episode???

That's .. rather brave.

So inspirational, you should be happy, and totally deserve this. I never knew you had it rather harsh, made me warm reading throughout this story. You really touched my heart also!

God Bless you.. My husbands aunt had this same sickness. I understand how bad this can be. She got it from a chemical spray to keep bugs away. I'm glad you are finding ways to feel a little better. Love your story <3

Pat you are a wonderful person and it seems as though you have touched BVG as you have touched many of us in our yo worlds. I share your MCS story with parents at my childs school when they bulk about a no nut policy that is in effect. There are far too many things out in our environment these days and to some of us the only escape is the yo...many blessings to you I will think of you while rock hunting tomorrow, and perhaps throw one into the waters to send a wish and prayer for your healing....

Pat, I'm so glad to see you won! Thank you for sharing your brave story, I knew about your allergy, but didn't want to intrude on the reasons why. This truly couldn't happen to a nicer person, those of you who know you know how hard you worked to get BVG to buy back our game. And we love your rooms! One of the things that excites me most about the new game is seeing what you'll do with the new decor if your fish world rooms are any indication. Lots of love

Congratulations, You deserve it! I'd love to read the other stories as well, where were they posted? I was very touched by your story and bravery in sharing it, and your rooms and metal work are so gorgeous. I'm also very touched that BVG had this contest, just the fact that they are interested in what yoville has meant to us and that it touches their hearts means a lot to me.

I know this illness exists physically, a compromised poorly functioning liver cannot be around paint fumes for example. There shouldn't be any controversy about whether chemical poisoning or sensitivity is a real illness. I'm glad to hear your are making progress on healing and I'd like to send you a pm one of these days about it, we have a lot in common. Best wishes to you!

Well if you see someone ahead of you while walking wearing a face mask, please cross the street so you don't make them sick or worse. Most become very dibilitated and sick when exposed.
I am not trying to take away your freedom to wear modern day perfume. I will try to educate you on their differences from the perfumes that used to be safe to wear.

These products today are much more toxic than they were even 5 - 10 years ago.
Scents used to be made out of things like flowers, tree barks, spices and oils. Now they are made out of neruotoxic chemical and petrochemical products. Many of these chemicals sink in through your skin-things like cologne, anit bacterial soap, scented lotion and sun screen.
They started to warn people about anit bacterial soap this last year. Many of you may have heard the warnings, funny thing is the warnings get squeched pretty quick and burried.
They have linked SIDS death in infants to room fragrance (glade plug ins) or a parent wearing Cologne. These products are not what they used to be. It's the manufacturer's fault things have gotten so toxic.
They need to change their formulas back to the flowers and oils they used to contain and remove all the neurotoxic chemicals.

All of the stories are posted on Big Vikings facebook wall.
I posted mine in here because I had trouble attaching the pictures to my story. I think a picture says a thousand words, and gets more across. It shows a real person behind the story, which is what I wanted to convey.
It is too hard to read it on the Viking's facebook wall because I had to use several comment boxes.
Plus I wanted to say thank you to the Vikings for selecting my story.

I try hard to get the word out on what I deal with because of the community of people who also live and struggle with this. There is little treatment, and none offered covered by insurance or medicare. I look for ways to get us out there and gain exposure for ourselves, much like we did when they were shutting down Yoville.
The numbers are in the millions for us with MCS, but most of us are shut ins, and live a life like the boy in the bubble. We stay hidden from view, hiding from exposures, trying to stay well. We are not highly visible, but ultra sick. We need the medical community to pay attention to us, we are too easily dismissed and sent home because they do not know how to treat us. We can't be treated with drugs, we're sensitive to drugs, they harm us, and that's their fist line of defense in treatments. So we get dismissed. Our numbers are growing and we need medical care!

In so many ways I have been very lucky with this. I've been able to install an infra red sauna in my home to detox in. Is slowly making me better, there are some other success stories were people have detoxed their way out of MCS and back to their normal. I intend to be one of them. I had an awesome life and I want it back, LOL

For this reason I don't own this illness, I look at it as temporary, something just passing through. I won't get a handicapped sticker for my car or ever sit in a wheel chair. It is all working for me. If you believe hard enough and work at it long enough, you can get to your goal.
