Well, now after giving it some more thought, I do think the new items look nice, but in my opinion (Note: I said in MY opinion) I think Zynga's items were a tad bit more detailed? Like the hairs, they did theirs in individual strands in recent years, but here, I see some of the hairs were done in patches, not strands, which is different.

Some of the detail in the clothing is exquisite though. Like the Canadian hoodies, they are fantastic! The jeans are nice as well. The glasses are cool, perfect in fact, just a tad bit expensive?

That's all I think for now.

I am not feeling / liking this latest release at all for the reasons I give below.

Firstly thank you for trying to give us something for the Canadian Holiday and Fourth of July - I know that we have all been breathing down your necks for more new items like the insatiable "kids" we can be.

Nonetheless I do not think the items that have been released are up to the standard that we have been accustomed to. It is rather telling that 2 hours after the update there are no WTB events nor are any players in any great numbers wearing any of the new items released. I think that more work needs to be done on the shaping and shading of the items that our Yo wear both as clothes and hairstyles - as if this is what we are to expect from hereon in, I can not begin to imagine how much more valuable the older stuff in game will become.

Also having missed out on the Gary pants on their first debut and having to pay highly to get a pair I am dismayed that these pants have been re- released again. This kind of yo- yo'ing is the kind of action that will destroy the Yo economy and drive away players. Of course I am happy that I can now obtain these pants for 100c instead of the x mount of coins that lucky players who obtained them were able to sell them for - but that is part and parcel of this game. It is what makes the game so exciting. The fact that you could log in and come across an accidental release is what motivates players to log in numerous times in a day. If this element of the game is going to be downtrodden by the constant re- release of items then whats the point of it all. Like I said - now I have serious concerns about future releases which I didn't have before.

As you can see I have already shown my support for the game by purchasing a few of these items - but mainly to demonstrate that I want this game to succeed. I have not purchased them all like i would have in a normal release and neither do I intend to.

You are aware that Gary posted somewhere (idk where it is, but I read it) that the pants were released accidently and IF pricejackers got hold of them, he would put them back in store. These aren't his exact words, but that's the gist of what he said. I don't know if you are aware, so that's why I asked.
You are not the only one who thinks that these items aren't up to "standard" but remember that BVG is just getting into this. If you go look at the hairs we got from Z back in 2009/10 and fast forward to 2011/12, there was a BIG difference. I truly believe, that with time, BVG will get there too.
I also wonder, but will probably never know, if maybe this release was rushed because so many screamed and yelled that they wanted new items and because of the holidays coming up for Canada and the US, they decided to throw something together? I believe they are doing what they can to keep us happy. Remember last Halloween when we begged and pleaded for Z to throw us something? Not only did we get zilch, we got no response at all from them. BVG is ahead of Z leaps and bounds in that department. I understand what you are saying, but I believe BVG just needs a bit of time. The few weeks they've had the game were not concentrated on new content, but rather, ridding the game of all the evil morons that had taken over. They've pretty much done that. Now comes the next phase and I'm personally ready for the ride!

If I could get more for my money, I would buy YoCash more often. I imagine a lot of people would. So, YoCash either needs to be less expensive or in game items need to be less expensive. I just can't justify spending $18 for a hairstyle, a dress, a bath tub & a bed, all virtual. I would much rather buy from Viking than pay a king's ransom to in game sellers who jack prices sky high & destroy the Yo economy.

We play YoWorld to escape from the real world for a little while. If YoLife is as demanding as real life & Yo-dreams are impossible to achieve without "working" 6 times a day, begging for hot dogs & harrassing others to join, it's no longer worth it. That's why I quit playing Yoville. It wasn't fun anymore. There was no time to be creative or social. It was all hard core grind.

Please price items so they are within our reach. I'll spend more on Yocash if you do, and I'm poor & disabled. I bet a LOT of people would buy more YoCash if there as a good return for their money.

@ Renee (108305250) - I did read something like what you said about Gary's statement re the Gary pants... but lets not forget that these pants have now been released on three separate occasions. I cant accept that in a game where it's the rarity of items that dictates it value - that items that were "legitimately" put in game, accidental or otherwise could or should be causally re-released in the fashion that it has been. That's my personal opinion.

I have now had an opportunity to read a few other comments on this thread and I see that I am not the only one that feels the same way about the standard of this release and more importantly I have now read Gary's answers to some of the issues that have been raised. I stand by everything I mentioned in my previous post save that I do feel a little "less" concerned now that I know our feelings in respect of this release are being heard by Gary and the art team. I get that more time is needed and would have preferred a better but later release of items than an early release of what we have.

And just so we are clear my feedback was specifically related to this release and was not a reflection on how BVG have managed the game since takeover.

Love the jeans and hoodies (normal, casual clothes are a nice change)
The boots are adorbs, I do hope shoes get some attention because theres been some bad ones in game (wish we didnt always hafta stand sideways, maybe i wanna point my toes in  )
I dont care for the hair but it is the 1st release so may buy?!?
Better get some coins flowing for the new people, for reals, I'd be frustrated by now and wandering away. This IS still a freemium game isnt it?
Thanks for a Happy Monday!

Thanks for all your great work and returning the" Gary Pants "as requested too, was a great gesture on your part. This makes it possible for all the payers to get them . So many players took advantage, as they became short released like the "Menorah Hat " and were selling those pants for way too high amounts. Funny as it may be, many shouted it wasn't fair they all couldn't have the "Menorah Hat" because it was too high , and not fair they missed it, but didn't mind selling those "Gary Pants" for high prices..

Keep up the great work and Happy Canada Day !!!!!

if you have the same items in stores like the pants coins/yocash for example ....only difference is color yocash ones need a cutoff date. gives a chance to sell later date as a collectable. if i was to buy now i would buy the pants with coins, yocash pants has really no value (just my opinion) with the ninja hair you do have a cutoff date

Just bought the new stuff and it is adorable! I L-O-V-E the glasses!!! Oh my word they are fabulous!!!! And I really like the casual clothes. I need to go play with combos and get a new outfit on - but I wanted to bop in and say thank you BVG! I love the casual styles, and I love that cute 4th of July dress! :D

I sure hope the comments that are less than positive don't get you down - we humans have a hard time adapting to change, even when it is a change for the better. Keep up your positive spirit and fantastic communications.

I am a happy customer and danged if I didn't buy too many of those glasses! Woot Wooooot! :D  :D tyvm!

Love the hairs! Love the cloths! Was wishing on a handheld or hat but do understand short timing caused this not to get many more items. I do agree about the price needs adjusting for BVG and the players! I also understand about the money is different for you guys to convert. Was disappointed in the wings. Hoping that something can be done because animated wings that isn't is mis-leading. Hoping that it is just a glitch. All in all, I am very pleased in the first release and happy that BVG is here for all of us in every way they can. Much love LadyRainy! :D

Stand by everything you said? You should. Your opinion is just as important as mine or anyone elses. I am not aware however that "the pants" have been released 3 times. Maybe I missed something? idk..........I bought one pair. That's all my yo can wear at a time, so it's all I needed. I saw them when released. Then I read they were gone. Then Gary said what he said. Now they are back. That's all I know.

I like the new releases! Thank you for doing some 4th of July! I like the releases and am very happy to see new items. The quality of the items is pretty good, but you're right that the store pic doesn't do the items justice. I do not like the hairs, sorry but the styles are not what I find flattering. I think the items are prices very reasonably. I would still like to see a house and some furniture too. I think the glasses are too expensive and seem to fit to high up on my head.

The Canadian jeans ROCK. I think some of your prices are a bit high. I have a couple of suggestions. Maybe you should try to hire one person who designed for Zynga back in 2010. Things were great then.

Another thing, when you do put out a whole theme, with house, furniture clothes and hair, how about making a sale on YoCash? Zynga used to offer up to 30 percent off. Often times, I spent over $200 on a good theme.

You should start working on being able to put out full themes, by now you should be getting stuff ready for Halloween. Halloween is the biggest money maker in Yo.

I read in a post that you will not be making 2 themes per week. Zynga never did that. Maybe you misunderstood what players told you. If you want to know a good happy medium on merchandising, please add me Ellie Gil.

Thank you.
