Alright, we all know that this game still has tons of unreleased items that haven't been released. We also know that plenty of people love the mystery packs and are sick and tired of the same junk that's been in them for like 3 years now.

So I gotta an idea on the 5yc packs!

Slowly BVG can filter in the Z unreleased items as "rares" in the 5yc packs.

It'll generate yocash sales, people will be happy to get unreleased items like the dead cat handheld, zombie baby handheld, Hulk, YoBoy Statue, Stained Glass Landscape etc... While people who like to resell later will also like the idea because instead of everyone and anyone being able to go out and spend 50yc on a Retro Crown - effectively ruining its aftermarket value, getting 1 Hulk costume out of say 20 yocash packs, allows for the Hulk costume to have aftermarket value.

Especially if the costume is only left in the pack for a couple of weeks maximum.

They don't even need to change up the random junk we get in those packs either. If you go out and buy 10 of the 5yc packs and get one "rare" you don't care about the 9 junk items as you can either keep and love the "rare" or resell it later for massive profit.

What say you?

That's actually not a bad idea. I'm not sure I'm quite on board with your very short time limit though... The rest sounds reasonable.

I'm sick of the "status" mentality pricing of the aftermarket. If something is flashy and pretty and worn by the elites, it's thought to be rare and must have. Like retros - they're everywhere but huge prices anyway.

My thinking with this is, it actually generates supply and demand pricing on the aftermarket where items have value because they're actually hard to find.

I think its a great idea, although i would probably go broke. its an addiction! Even now, I feel the urge to go buy a bunch of the old ones, even if there is nothing i could possibly want in them anymore!

I will not be able to resist the temptation of opening a few boxes a day.

That was a one time thing out of boredom. I honestly wouldn't spend cash on mystery packs ever again.

I don't disagree, I just think the time limit shouldn't be so restrictive. I do agree there should be rare items in the game and that's what makes it fun.

But...I also do have to call you out a little here...and not to start a thing or anything...but you do also tend to wear "status" items sometimes...like that hat you got on right now. :P

I make status symbols. I still don't know how or why that happened.

The cloche BECAME a status item when Samberg started wearing it.
Now, on topic - Yes! I love the mystery pack idea! What fun that would be.

Seriously though, I do think your idea has some merit, I like it...I just think a couple of weeks is too short a time frame. Let it run a bit longer. The items would still be rare, just not quite as rare, nothing should be so rare that's it's completely unattainable.

Well then it could be like a Willy Wonka thing... a set number of them are added to Mystery packs and when they have all been received, they change to something else.
