Ok, so we know that our behavior can get us warnings.... the problem is, how do we respond? We cant reply to a pm. What if we truly dont see what the problem is? I have seen people get a general warning for something silly and I have seen someone get a last warning for something I didnt see as a problem. I understand kindness and courtesy and all of that, really i do. I just think that sometimes a bit of two way conversation can help us out. I know this isnt the old forum, I am ready to roll with the changes but the few warnings i got, I was able to have a conversation with the moderators and at least 2 of my warnings were changed because of the circumstances.
And, what if we got a warning one day for something and then two months down the line, we said something that the mods felt crossed the line? Would that old warning be held against us? Is there a points system or are we at the mercy of a moderators bad day? I dont expect to rack up warnings... i got 3 in over 12000 posts in the past, but a bit of clarity on this would be nice since we cant really PM you guys.

I imagine people get warnings even just for sticking up for themselves when they done nothing wrong..

We get warning on this forum as well. Do they do it like the old forum. I have never gotten one so I'm wondering?
I never got one on the old forum either.

Thats why i am asking. We have guidelines, but we dont have a clear grasp on our warnings or bans...

Viking is lurking, maybe he can answer. Would like clarification also. I try not to say anything bad but just in case I drank too much orange juice and let out a big whopper post.

Not sure why you would want to draw attention to yourself for getting a warning message?

Its not like you can get something like that put back in the bottle, I would remove the post and question and tread softly for a while.

Only BVG can confirm, but my impression is that Greg likes the element of surprise. We saw how some were banned and publicly shamed on the temporary FB forum without warning.

Edited to add: I hope I'm wrong,

It's fuzzier than a yo's tush on a yo-toilet.

Definitively defined and consistent "punishment", for lack of a better word, would go a long way in helping to keep things fair and running smoothly...

I believe that all the Viking moderators have their PMs enabled..I know that Viking John's is. Only Gary and Greg have theirs disabled, atm.

Read the post above on bullying. It is pretty clear. I am not sure what a
"conversation" would or should accomplish. One either violates the rules or doesn't.

Its not always about bullying. I just want a bit more clarity on warnings and length of warnings... do we even get warnings and if we do, do they expire? Sometimes some of us are not perfect or we might have different ideas on what is bad or not. I dont think the word hell is bad, but some people scream about it. is it allowed or not?
