I don't like those words......but since people in Yo are fond of them, I will use them in this conversation. I think a better way to define people in this game is "pay to play" and "play for free."
So, in my opinion, the "rich" players are normally the ones who have always bought yocash and therefore have many more coins and items, than those who play using coins only. There will ALWAYS be an unbalance in Yo as long as there is yocash. The thing is though, there are two kinds of "rich" players in my opinion:
Player A has played for years. They have always bought yocash to buy themselves all the premium items they like. They are also able to sell yocash. They have bought and sold items for years. This player also has many older items and then can sell when the items no longer intereste them further building up there coins.
Player B is the cheater. They may have been playing for years, but many times show on new accounts because they have been banned many times in the past. These are the ones who have MANY alts, exploit the glitches, create hacks (FG anyone?) etc. Normally, these are the players who have the most coins in the game.
Then on the other side you have your "poor" players (Ugh I really hate that word):
Player A has played for years and has a lot of items. They buy their yocash items from dealers and in events. They have been collecting their "fortune" for years and normally have a good amount of coins to buy what they like. These are the players "hardest hit" by the increase in yocash rates and in game prices.
Player B is either new or hasn't put a lot of time and effort into the game. These are normally the players you will find making events or at Alton begging for coins.....
Okay yes, these are generalities, but I see people talk about players being rich or poor all the time and to me there is a big difference even within those categories.
I also see people say, "there is no way to get hundreds of millions of coins in this game without cheating." To those people I say, you are wrong. Go back and read Player A from the rich profile. They deal Yocash, they have old 08 items, they have all the coveted yocash items in the game. Now, look at what items are actually selling for in the game. If Player A sells many of the things they have collected over the years, it is VERY likely they will have over a hundred million coins.
In my opinion, it is not fair to say these people are cheaters. There are true cheaters in the game. I have seen people throw names around......"Player XYZ, is the richest in the game......." The sad thing is, some players see their coins and what they have and envy them. They do not deserve to be envied or respected if they need to use ilegal means to get their "wealth." It is all about perspective.
In the end, "rich" or "poor" does not matter in a game. If you are having fun, that is what matters. Yes the price structure is higher now, and some players might need to adjust how they play the game. I look at it like anything else in life, sometimes you can't have everything you want, but you can have what you are willing to work for.
If you are dependent on yocash dealers for your enjoyment in this game, then I think you should thank them instead of complaining about their rates. Sure you might not like using your virtual coins to buy the things they spent real money on, but you don't have to have those items either. There are options. If you can't buy your own, then sell items you like less or save up until you can afford it.
The game has changed. Time to adapt to the new ways.
What are your thoughts?

Just because you don't but yocash now doesn't mean you haven't spent hundreds of dollars on yoville in the past. It can mean that you're unstable to buy or you just don't see anything interesting to spend real money on yocash yet. I do agree the rich vs poor should stop but i doubt it'll stop anytime soon because it has been going on for years..

I am a middle class Yo. lol..... Never had a million coins in the game, never owned any 08 costumes until they re-released a few. I was a VIP and before then a moderate purchaser of yocash. I just love my homes and pets, and in-between purchases learned how to decorate trailers in a few dozen different ways. LOVE the trailers. Sooooo..... I am guessing that the "rich" would find me poor, and the "poor" might consider me rich? We should come up with a term for Yo's like me. How about Yourgeois?

That is the thing, it is all about perspective. To me, it doesn't matter how many coins someone has at all. My best friend and I have discussed many times how the game was just as fun, if not more, for us when we were so broke we couldn't buy mission funiture......

Well, if I was forced to define them in this game......rich are the players who have found TRUE friends from the game. Poor are the ones who are here to ruin the game for others.......how's that?

I can remember playing tic tac toe at the Altons so that I could feed my cat energy! Boy was that a great day when they stopped that option. Hated when the cat died...
