Sooooo I have just spent the last 90mins or so at an event where it was a Trivia Contest and prize would be 1m coins. Many players come along and at first the owner was asking for donations. I used my Yo-smarts and told her that I wouldn't be donating until the end to make sure that the event would be completed. There were a number of forumers who attended and I have to admit that a lot of fun was had by us all. The owner was very polite, her questions were intelligent and insightful and we all thought this player is for real.... 90mins in one event is a long time so as we neared the end and the few remaining players were mysteriously disappearing I thought they had decided to leave of their own volition... Well as promised at the end of the event when another forumer was announced as the winner (Wtg Cherry!!) I made the donation I had promised and found myself, together with the last 5 players at the towers with a sore behind.. The name of this glamorous and articulate con artist is AA Stacey!

I am kicking myself for having not heeded the warning that AA Spaz posted on here the other day to warn us that there are players who are walking around with the tag AA to gain them credibility.

When I was getting pm's expressing concern I took a screenie but I wish I had got Wicked to move aside so we could see her name in full.

Beware if you come across this character.... her charming nature is extremely deceptive!

The coins are one thing... but all that time wasted. At least y'all enjoyed yourselves while you were there though I guess. :/

That's exactly how I felt. I met and got to know some forumers which I wouldn't have otherwise and the coins part of it doesn't matter to me. Karma will find her for sure. It's just a bad end to what was a good event!

Wow! She was really playing the long game, wasn't she? How upsetting. Can I ask what the donation was and how many players would have paid it? With a 90 minute event she really had to work hard for that at least. Thanks for the heads up.

I am certain she isn't part of AA. They wouldn't act in this way!

Put it this way - the entire 1m prize fund and more came from the players who had joined the event to play!

When he left abruptly is when we became more suspicious about the disappearances... he was on his way to win as well!

It's sad seeing club names being used by beggers and scammers to trick people.
There should be a way to know if they are really in the club

Tons of people adding AA when they're not even part of it and going around and scamming. It is very sad indeed =[

That would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.. plus it would be impossible.

You can't stop ppl from hanging out with other like minded ppl of their choosing if they're not doing anything against the T.O.S.

Yeah I agree that its getting crazy how players are using club affiliations to earn others trust but I don't think there is any effective way to police other unscrupulous players or changing their behaviours. If they are intent on behaving badly, nothing much we can do but just be more aware and cautious.
