she has the option to block, no reason to ban players over spats

i said that to but it may not just be on yoville it may be over fb or something but ya never know

sadly ive been to some of these events over the past few years, and some not all but some... are doing it for gifts

That sucks. I've seen cyber bullying directed to some players butnI don't think that I've ever been victim of bullying... and if I have then I didn"t notice. Takes a lot to bother me or hurt me and I am not one that likes to talk a lot. It might be frustrating though because in real life we have ways to protect ourselves but behind the screen everyone is brave abd they talk like they know. If she was really a victim of cyber bullying in game thennit's best to quit. No need to lose peace over a game.

SOME people need to read Gary's post about Bullying ....this is BVG's game and players should NOT have to deal with bullies here. I would report every single bully and let BVG delete them from the game. People who usually brush off or discredit someone's experience here are usually the ones doing some bullying themselves.

Hey YoFans,

As you know, we created the forums to be a fun place to hang out and talk Yo. For the most part, it all works beautifully and we're all the better for it.

However, as of late we've noticed a worrying trend of people being hostile, insulting or aggressive towards other users, including belittling them, calling them out for no reason or just generally being mean to them.

We've stated this before, but I will unequivocally state it again for anyone who missed it. If you post with the intent of being mean about someone, either directly or indirectly, you may lose your forum access. Additionally, as the forums are an extension of the game, and someone who is abusive on the forum is likely to also be abusive in-game, you may lose your game access too.

Being snarky or witty at someone else's expense isn't worth it. If you can't post nicely, don't post at all. Thanks!

The blocking function doesn't work in game, currently.

For real life bullying or cyber bullying, you can always tell an adult or the police.. My friend was bullied at school and her parents created a court - approved contract that if the bullying still continues, the other person's parents will have to sign the contract. If broken, the wrong - do er will be expelled or their family will have to pay a fine. The contract stated that the bully is not allowed to talk or even look at the one being bullied. If things went too far, the bullier will have to stay 300 feet away, which means that they'd have to move.

I'm sure there's one for cyber bullying and this contract thing is legal where I LIVE. I am not speaking for everyone

I have to agree with this. I do not agree with bullying at all, but I do believe the term is overly used on little spats that if given time and maturity can be worked out. People have become too sensitive, thus claiming they have been bullied and resort to taking steps and measures to discredit the "bully" or have them banned/blocked/punished/etc.

I'm in no way saying that it does not exist, or playing it down, nor as someone mentioned above am a product of bullying myself. If anyone here has ever once seen me bully another player, then please put me on blast and I will apologize immediately. However, the terms in which bully is thrown around is in my opinion overly used and abused.
