What do you do when someone gifts you something, but you already have one or two multiples of the item?

This happens to me at times, and then I don't know what to do with the items!

I never post my key to be gifted but if I did I would most likely re-gift it to someone else as sort of 'passing the good deed forward'

I usually think of it this way, I sell the one I bought, and keep the one they gave me, but maybe that's a dumb way of thinking about it, LOL.

I just have this problem sometimes. It's frustrating to know that the person who gifted me might think I am selling the item they gifted me, but I don't think of it that way.

What do you do?

Keep it and gift the player another one of my items that i purchased myself. I only get gifted things I never intend to resell and that's A OK for me!

When I gift someone something it's theirs so they are free to do with it
what they like. If they hate it, I hope they tell me they hate it so I won't
keep sending similar items. Because sometimes I get it in my head that
XYZ likes Frogs and then I send them every frog I find.

It happens. Imagine that conversation. Deadly, thanks for all the frogs
but why? Don't you collect them? No. Oh dude. Someone I promised
frogs is really sad right now.

If I already have it, I may keep it for a while, but if I was to sell one of them, in my mind I say, I don't sell gifts and it works out just fine xD...

If someone told me they had that already, I would feel compelled to gift them something else, which could possibly puts both parties under stress. IMHO ofc

If someone gifts you something you have already which I am sure is often the case for many of us here...I think it is fine to sell it and use the coins towards something you don't have. Either way they have sent you a gift for you to enjoy as you see fit.

Usually, if it's a good item and not a freebie, I go to Alton's and pick a person to gift that doesn't appear to have many nice things. Or I sell it if I can but I do prefer gifting to someone less fortunate c:
