I have seen events named send me nudes for coins. I reported it. That is just nasty. You just know underage kids are going to be the ones to send the nudes to some old dirty pervert.

I think with kids playing it's inappropriate and unnecessary. I too see a LOT of really disgusting events and wish there was a way they could be filtered... I'm not sure how, but it's just gross. I think the entire events section needs an overhaul. It would be good to have categories like:

Buying/Selling
Trading
Tours
Parties & Events
Come & Chat

And maybe even have premade event titles with fill-in-the-blanks or something. I don't know. I know it's very limiting but it's sickening to see all the "smex" and "nudes" garbage.

I second your point about the fact that these events will just move to a different section. The only way to remove such events would be to encourage players to report such behaviour. People will always find ways around filter systems. For instance, since the improved swear filters, I have seen "itch" replace the related swear word. By filtering such key words, you will just indirectly create replacement terms.

Do we need an overhaul on the events layout? In my opinion, no. This will not address the issue. The cure to the issue being discussed would be to reassure players that reporting works. How could this be achieved? By listing the number of people banned for various TOS infringements in the forums.

I didn't mean to say that an overhaul would fix the issue. I just find most of the categories silly.

I didn't mean to make it seem as if I didn't believe that trimming down the list of categories wouldn't hold any benefits, I just think that removing those categories may lead to other categories becoming increasingly cluttered. Maybe our collective minds could identify a solution to that issue

Those sound like much more relevant event categories for YoWorld. Even "Performance" isn't really used, except for people looking for a convenient place to make a meet up event for a trade. It seems to me like the categories you suggested would be much more useful.

Glad to find someone who agrees! Even Jobs is stupid... what jobs? LOL A few others that would be good would be Pageants/Contests, Seeking an Item, and Auctions.
