Would you consider that practice a scam or capitalism at it's finest?

I consider it preying on the unsuspecting and ignorant folks in game.
It's why they put a device in the AH to blank out the items still in store.

there are some yc items in store sofas/chairs I've been looking for some of those on AH to buy for coins
seen a load of 'back of the store' coin items up for 10x the price they are in store for I think its mean to try and deceive people like that

Yc I don't mind - I consider trying to sell cheap coin items for thousands a scam. I don't understand why or how someone can do that in the yoworld. Then again in RL i keep getting phone calls from windows - telling me my pc is sending out malicious content.

Although it's not personally breaking any rules in the game, I guess some might consider it to be unethical. If it is your item I guess it really is your price. Of course not everybody's moral standards are the same.

Well with coin items, personally not a level I would stoop to.

I don't care for that practice, because it's geared towards taking advantage of newer, less experienced people.

It's not what I believe in, I try to sell fairly and I try to keep others in mind when selling my items.

I think it's about 'intention'. If it's a new player and they are not really familiar with selling etc., well then I can understand. But I just recently got taken by a player selling Sushi Chairs for 35k each. I thought 'what a bargain'. I went to the store afterwards to see how much YC they were and turns out they were like 699 coins each! The funny thing is I had to barter with the guy just to get them at 35k a piece! DOH*#@! :o The bottom line is, you really have to know an items price to make sure your not getting taking advantage of. It's great BVG made an option to not show items still in stores in the AH, that has saved many from making a mistake like I did I'm sure!

To me capitalism at its finest in trying to get someone to buy at a higher price, apparently not realizing its still in the stores. Buyer beware; know what you're buying!

Not surprised, but somehow surprised that almost half think its okay, lol.

I just hope they're not the ones complaining when they are on the wrong side of a scam.

If i'm spending 20yc on something.. you can bet Im not selling it for 80k.

Yeah, yeah... I know its an "old" item. So what? YoCash that pays for it still costs the person the same as it did back then. :)

Buyers dont seem to think about that though. Guides are the ones trying to sell that "old item, lower price" concept though. I wonder why? :)

I have seen people say before, "it is a game." It sure is, but I don't think that means you should check your morals at the door because you are now anonymous. Fortunately for me, I have found other like minded people who play the game how they behave in real life. They are good and honest people. It is obvious that some have no problem taking advantage of others, perhaps that is who they are in real life too.
