I mentioned earlier that I like to provide reasoning for our decisions, and I would like to give two countries as examples of their support. In the first case, we have the United Kingdom, which accounts for 6.75% of all active YoWorld players. The interesting thing about those players in the UK is that they contribute 12% of total purchases. Way to go UK! On the other end of the spectrum, you have Egypt, which also accounts for 6.75% of all active YoWorld players. Egypt, on the other hand contributes less than 0.1% of all revenue :shock:

. For those keeping records, in the last 30 days, we have received $180 from Egyptian players. Their portion of server and maintenance costs, however, comes out to roughly $10,000.

It should be no surprise to players that we will target our future release more to UK players than Egyptian players.

it means that there is more chance of uk related items than egypt in the future

if you had 100 players in the UK and 100 players in Egypt
then 12 players in the UK buy yocash but only one leg of one person in Egypt buys yocash
sorry my maths is bad but the point is that more buy yocash in the UK so BVG is going to bring out more items for UK players
does that make sense now ?

I would be interested to see what the price comparison is between UK - and Egypt for buying YC. Do Egyptians suffer a low currency. What % of their wage in some cases would it be for them to buy 660 yc. Compared to the UK. I think someone mentioned earlier it was 60 quid to get 660 yc - but how can we really compare the difference in costs. I'm sure Egyptians don't get paid the same rate that most British people do. If this makes any sense?

I mention this because there are many many countries out there that don't have the same quality of life that we experience. I'm from NZ I bet the average NZer gets paid more than your average Egyptian, or someone living and working in the Philippines, Maylasia etc.
The wages in NZ are much lower than in the UK, Canada, America and Australia, and our dollar is worth less than all of them countries. So we earn less and pay more than your average person living anywhere else. I'm sure in Egypt and other countries its much worse. I would hate to see people in poor nations being discriminated against because of a poorer environment.

What is means is that Yoworld will cater to the wants of the people from countries that support the game.

Because people from the UK buy more yocash they will get items that they want, because egypt is a drain on resources they will get nothing.
As BVG needs to find a way to cut costs and make yoworld profitable, it is possible they are using psychological techniques to drive resource drains from the game.

This is only the beginning.

would cost me $115 NZ about 8 hours minimum wage here - but more than that, cause thats not including the 19% tax the government takes first lol.. so its way more than a days wages for some here.

We don't have a minimum wage, but the average minimum age is 1500 a month. 660yc costs us 999. It's almost two weeks work. :shock:

Here in the USA, in NY State, if you worked a minimum wage job it would take you approximately 12.5 hours of work to buy 660yc. Well that's before taxes, after taxes...approximately 14 hours of work.

Wow so many places make so much more that people in US.. I cant work I only get 400 dollars a MONTH cause I live on disability.. And 300 of that goes for room and board I pay to my room-mate and care giver...

They mean they are going to concentrate on designing things for the likes of the USA, Canada, UK because they spend money on the game and keep it afloat.

I figure we get more tea, crumpets and jam.

I am thinking perhaps Egypt has lower yocash purchase because the players there are many not working age yet? Yah know maybe teenagers or younger.

a hundred bucks don't go far here because our wages are higher prices are higher too $5 for a cup of coffee a cup of flat white COFFEE sheesh.
that last 660yc I bought was bought just before Z announced they were well you know, so I still have most of it
It may look like some countries make more $$ per hour working but we pay out more in other things
A game which Yoworld is depends in peoples disposable income, what they have left to use on 'fun' things after food, bills, rent etc
and how much time they have to spend on 'fun' things too

I actually don't know how they'll fit more in there are two London Fashion themes in the clothing store and one in Furniture already
there are only so many cups a tea you can drink :lol:

We don't have Starbucks here in our town $5 is normal ordinary price ... if I was to go all the way to Sydney to get one from a Starbucks it would be like $9
