I don't know what is going on anymore with this game. Two days ago I get randomly kicked off game and found out I received a permanent ban and then have it suddenly restored 10 minutes later. Soon after that my son was on game having an event to sell a costume and when he refreshed because of lag,he too received notice of being permanently banned and has been banned for going on 3 days now. We both have sent several emails pleading for the issues to be resolved with nothing but an automated message returned. Now today I just tried to make an event to sell some winter items and I received notice that I have been banned from making events of any kind. I haven't even made an event in days but now i'm suddenly banned from doing so? I had let my son borrow several of my 08 costumes and quite a bit of coins to get him started back playing once the game was going to continue. All those are currently lost to me since he received this unjust ban. All in all, my son can no longer play and I cannot make events and lost about 50m worth of items and coins that is lost with his name. All of this without any reason whatsoever. I love this game and I have played it for many years. I was so excited to see it was staying and that Big Viking had taken it over. The thought of this game being restored to it's former glory was something I looked forward to. Now.....now I don't even know if I will be playing at the end of this week. It is seriously looking like 5 years of playing and supporting this game just got flushed down the drain.
The saddest part? Probably won't even get a reason as to why. :|

Hmm, i smell lies. Anyway, your best bet is to message gary on facebook. E-mailing takes a LONG time to get a response. Like maybe a month.

I understand the fact lots of people do bad things and don't wanna own up to them when punishment is dealt. This is not one of those times and I am not one of those people. I didn't post to get sympathy from anyone but rather just trying another outlet to get someone from BV attention. If my issues don't get resolved than at least I can say I did everything I could.

I absolutely think when someone gets banned. It should be stated in the message you receive as to exactly why.

I think they may have assumed your sons act was maybe one of your alts?? Since its apparent you gifted him a lot. It may look like your gifting to an alt to off load stuff in sales?

Edited to add. Also it takes a good solid week or prob more now to get a response from support. They are just flooded there.

You very well be right about that. I do think that I read somewhere though that they understood that sometimes numerous people in a household play yoworld using the same pc or isp. That is why they allow the same isp to be able to trade with each other. I just dunno.

It may not be the reason for the ban - but if you all are playing from the same ip, and you use each others accounts from time to time. Then I guess it could get confusing. Its just my best guess. It would be nice to know the reasoning. Just going to have to wait and see what they say. But as I say Support is snowed under, and they are very slow to reply currently. I wish you luck getting this sorted out.

Thank you kindly for the well wishes, I know they are probably swamped with issues and it will take time. It is just frustrating and even more so when you don't know if something else is gonna jump up and bite ya just around the corner. Last few days have been very strange indeed.

Also your son may have made some joke events - lots of young teens do that. When you weren't watching, and you are not aware of such events. All it takes is one report and they can view the history of the events. I hope this isn't the case, they won't reverse the ban if thats so.

I'm not saying thats what happened you know you son more than I :)

We emailed BVG about the same IP issue as there are two of us here in the house , two separate people two separate computers
basically the response we got back was as long was we behave don't do anything 'naughty' we are fine .
Just searched the forums for 'event banned' and apparently if you get reported by other players that come to your event you can end up with a ban

Uh, I love BVG, but don't they realize that more than ONE household member might want to play the game AND they might want to gift each other (especially if it's your kids)? They need to allow for more than one family member to play on the same computer. They need to have a set number of accounts coming from the same IP address and no more than that. Once an IP address goes over that number, THEN they should start the banning. It's silly to think only one family member would want to play or that every house has more than one computer.
