Dalia and Sami I'm really pulling for your parents to get better as quickly as possible, so sorrry to see what you're both going through.

My Dad was my superman, he was my hero.I have a lot of good memories about him that I'll share soon as I can be on here long enough to type a bit more.

Who here has thier own hero, tell me about them!!

My hero was my mom . I loved my dad but my mom was my hero.They're both gone now and I miss them so much.

My hero I have to say is/was my daughter as she fought her whole short life with an illness and even tho she had every right to be upset or angry- she really wasn't. She never swore,was always soft spoken was kind and considerate of others and always helping others and she had such good manners.I now strive to be like her-honestly I dunno how she did this but am so proud of her as she went through so much medical stuff and she still had a smile that could brighten a room-on the other had both my parents were ( dad passed) and mom still helps a lot..they were and are my rock-family means so much to me as when you lose someone in the family we had become closer..my mom,oh shes so down to earth witty and funny and sarcastic ( not mean but funny ish) so yeah my daughter will always be my hero

Today is my first born daughters birthday so we are taking some time together to do whateverrrrrrrr she wants-she also picks out the dinner-family tradition and so far she hasn't said what that is lol. She wants brownies instead of cake so that's easy peasy-I should say she too is my hero for going through everything with her sister and dad who both passed away. I am so proud of my family for how the girls and hubby turned out!!!

I haven't been online much lately because my dad has been in hospital for the last six weeks. He was suffering from kidney failure, but he's luckily turned a corner. He might be discharged this week.

My prayers are with you hun. My grandpa died over the course of a yr in his home in my care from heart faliure. I took it very hard. It been less than a yr. I am happy he is doing better and get discharged. I know it very stressfull. We are all here for you. Sorry I was reading this backwards then had stuff to do for college that starts again in a few wks. I didn't mean to respond backwards to everyone lol.

speaking of Avon-anyone remember going out for the evening to a house party for this stuff same as for tupperware-we played games had some info on products checked some out and had eats..I use to love this part of socializing!!!!

It did smell so good! It was nice as you didn't have to smell like bug spray when using their bug spray.
OMG yes my mom and grandma had their hands at selling tupperwear and avon! I love it! I got a lot of cool tupperwear toys as a kid like dish sets for dolls and such! So fun!

I'm in New Zealand so its winter for me yesterday was our coldest morning where i live was 2c or 35.6F but still not cold enough for me to wear socks lol i love been barefooted only time i wear socks and shoes is when i need to go out places. I'm so looking forward to spring next month my favourite season

Awwe Pepsi, migraines are the worst!! Hopefully you get in lots of water, been getting lots of those through the heat recently as well.

I have been blessed with SO many heroes, mostly my parents. I've seen and heard stories of them go thru hell I personally would've been broken by, both together and in their own lives during their youth. I have to say I'm praying to have that sort of strength & wisdom to get through lots of things in my personal life!! My grandma as well. She was a fighter in her life if I've seen anyone. So soft, a demure woman, but wow she's fought tooth and nail for her kids (my dad and aunts/uncle), and through tragedies she came out victorious. Bears her teeth when she needs but kept her heart and soul tender for those who need that warmth. Wishing I could someday be half the people they are!! Such lives lived!

Hi Sami, been working these days for my licenses. Finished a few exams recently and running back & forth the city and back home in the suburbs to get things done, documents submitted and requirements completed. Enduring!! Since I'm booked to watch Barbie this coming weekend. Raining like crazy here too, but the heat still sticks in between. Hate the humidity!

I just had a big storm. Summer has gone way too fast I agree!
My boyfriend is taking his mom and myself to the barbie movie today so that should be fun.
I think this will be my last heat wave of the yr. Prob about 48 hrs left. I have classes in a few wks I am working on an MBA and a MHA at the University of Minnesota. I hope to enjoy my last few wks of freedom before classes start.

I totally have brownies on my bday every yr too. I never have been a cake fan nor my kids. We always have alt bday desserts lol. You are a good mom to accomidate Happy birthday to your first born

Oh Sami I hear ya-the summer rain has been crazy with so many storms.While in TO we had one single daytime of no rain-all it did that visit was rain rain rain-here too but the hard part is mowing the lawn -waiting in between wet and dry-yards are up to my knees with grass -I'm short but not that short.
we are really half way through our summer as schools begin next month. Annnnnnd yes this is the long weekend and most taking thrusday -tuesday off. I thought it was on the 1st but they moved it to the first monday of aug. Enjoy your time off-you been overworked withwork and minding your parents.

I'm just chill today-took an early nap and got up about 2 p.m. so this day is pretty much screwed LOL.-was thinking of painting my nails-I have a pretty sky blue colour and keep looking at the bottle-most of my drs want my nails free of polish but I'm not really seeing anyone so just might do it.

cleaned the furnace filter so the central air runs clean...anyone else have to replace theirs? who takes your used ones when finished?
