So I've noticed my entire PC starts lagging when I'm on yo sometimes, and yesterday it was especially bad, so I opened up the Task Manager and lo and behold, the YoWorld Desktop App was using over 4GB of RAM.

What was weird though is that the high memory instance wasn't bundled with the other ones, and ending the task didn't close my game, meaning this was probably some leftover instance from using the app earlier before this.

So I checked that too. I opened my task manager a few hours after I had closed the Yo app and found an instance of it running in the background, using 33% of my CPU.

As you can see, I don't have YoWorld on my taskbar, meaning the app isn't launched, yet it was still using up a lot of my resources

You are not alone. I noticed this started happening back in January when they pushed a patch to fix people getting disconnected. Also started having issues with the game not loading anything when I've navigated to a browser, even after uninstalling the app and reinstalling. Both issues still persist.

Oh same here since December. I just use task manager now when I need to refresh :) Close game, open task manager and reload.
It's a real pain in the butt :quiet:

I haven't been using desktop just because of the problems loading. I tried to switch players from my daughter to myself and it wanted my password, which I provided and it said it was wrong. Since then I tried to load it and it froze, using 100% computer's resources. I had to force a shutdown on my computer just to get out of it. Now I'm staying clear of desktop again.
