Today my Popups (Selfies, Hot Dogs, etc.) stopped working (again), so I checked my Site Settings, and they're still set to Allow in Chrome. Then I remembered that I tried to access yoworld.com through Edge on my tiny Fire tablet (which runs in a tinny version of Android, and forbids updated Chrome), so I decided to launch Edge and check site settings. Yup, also set to Allow but then I was stopped by a prompt to download the desktop app.
What the heck, the worst that could happen is reinstalling the app, but no! It loaded a new app, built on Edge. It has Edge fonts and, in the App's top bar, many more shortcuts for Edge passwords, Edge Sidebar Search and settings to specific to yoworld.com. settings, plus the dropdown button with your avatar on it.
Everything seems to work, Popups, Chat, etc., though my play pane seemed to be stuck on the extreme right. But never mind, when I clicked the Sidebar dropdown, the game pane recentered, and remained centered when I closed the Sidebar pane.
(I am an old geek, and I always check the functionality of every button, and most settings, because I know that coding styles and application designs change over time.)
I went to my Windows settings and uninstalled the 1.2.1 version (that stopped handling popups today). Everything is still working.
Does this mean that the latest Desktop App version for Edge is the best choice for play going forward, or just for the moment?
