Hello So I played this game back in 2009/2010 and just rediscovered it...my question is do you have to be friends with someone on facebook in order for them to be your neighbor? Thanks in advance

Yes, it seems to be the only way for them to be added to your neighbors.
But you just have to meet them in game and buddy them if you want them on your buddy list so you can meet in game when on.

Yes, to my knowledge you can add in game now and I've been able to visit them from the buddy list and still collect visit bonuses.

Same Predicament as Lauren, lol. knows though Neighbours only consists of Friends who play game but wondering if now friends are automatically a neighbour or does one still have to send requests for friends who do play game to be added as a neighbour? ... Format changed, Last I was on, Ya still had to add as a neighbour even after friending em... and now that list showing who one's neighbours are, and who is not a neighbour is unlocatable, LoL...

Yes, you have to be friends in order to be a neighbor. You may buddy people in the game to get to know them. Sometimes this works for people sometimes it does not. In order to collect coins they "must be a neighobor." We cannot collect coins from buddies.
-- Do not let this confuse you. I recently learned this. If you delete a "neighbor." they automatically become your buddy! --- I had no clue of this.

My buddy list went down for a year and a half no matter how much i wrote zynga. Well I delete fast! I got a weapon! LOL. well if people upset me I get to upset and do not know who is who and who changed name to what. SO i cant TAKE IT! i delete everyone. if someone loves you and likes you they will understand my fear too. I feeling so very bad. some I have reconnected, some not. oh my gosh. people get so hurt and I never mean to intentioanly hurt.
it pains a person a lot to get deleted. that is the worst part of this game.
But then it is good too in a way cuz some of us go full circle. HA for me I had to about 20 times to circle round like a dog chasing a tail.

i think we need to buddy for a while FIRST.. and not just cr. but actual talking--that works well...Since bvg has taken over I have learned so so much. Man I love BVG.
