If a post gets locked it means no more replies can be made in that post.
BVG Vikings (creators of game) lock posts for many reasons such as :

-if there are multiple threads talking about the same topic ( it clogs up space )
- If there's an argument or fight in one of the threads
- If the thread talks about something but the comments drift away from the topic
- If they want to make an important announcement they will post it and lock it (as sometimes replies are not necessary)
