How do you sell items you no longer want and how do you know how much to ask for them? Also where do you put the items for sale? In an empty room of your house? And one more question. How do you sell that item to someone that wants it and get paid? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :D

the easiest way to sell items right now is in the Auction house in game.
or, in the trading section of this forum here:
viewforum.php?f=4

If you want to sell single items, just keep them in your inventory unless you are selling a lot.
if you sell a lot of items, yes an empty room is nice, because then people only see what is being sold.

In game trades is how you sell.

You have to set your own price, there are two guides out there, but they are kind of out of date..and not a lot of players on the forums trust those guides anymore.
Yopriceville.com
Yorehab.com

No matter what price, even free.. you will have people complaining, so be ready for that.

Bump is just a term to make the post go up to the top.

There are also auction pages and sell pages some players have on Face Book. To sell things quickly, I would do the trade here with a picture or like what was said before, put them in a room and sell them. The price of the items can be tricky. If it is something still in the stores, most people ask about 5% or 10% less. If it is a discontinued item, the price goes up. Most of this is due to how old the item is and how much demand there is for the item -- just like real life. If the item is a rare, the same thing -- how old is it and how much did it costs in the first place. If you are selling yocash items that may or may not still be for sale in the game, then you can look at the trade page here and you may find yocash dealers or you may find yocash items for sell. Find out the cost of the yocash item in the store and then divide and you can see how much they are charging for these items for each yocash spent. Yocash is real money. You can always ask what you want for an item but that doesn't mean it will sell for the price if the price is too high.

Another problem is, everyone complains and everyone wants things cheap and at a good price. Charge what you want for the item and don't pay any attention to them. Say your prices are firm.

Auction House charges a fee for everything you sell. So, you don't get what you sold the item for. However, with Auction House you don't have to have an event and hear everyone complain.

Good Luck. By the way, what do you have for sale? I will check the trade posts to see what you have.

It is hard to seell or trust pages who have YoVillian and YoWorldian names entering their contest! If these pages cannot keep their own pages clean, how can they be honest pages.
Yes, that about says it..
Im with Greg on this one.

You can have event in "sales" or parties or games."
Put your items in a nice empty room and do not over load your room. Put your best items in the first room and have other rooms to have items. name the rooms your items you have in there.
Like if you have a room with all christmas name this room christmas.
organizations is good in sales.
AH the auction house you can sell 5 items at a time.
You can set up a page in fb and have a page of sales.
You can join a group and sell items in the group and then go to games and sell them in game.
you can make a nice page of your items and sell in the forums in the by sell trade page.

To sell items you dont want, you can do in few ways:
1) auction house (ah): you can sell any furniture/ clothing/ appearance (max is 5 items until the item auc ends), set a price you want to get from bids, and a price of someone else an buy without bidding (means you'll get the money in the same moment and the buyer will recieve the item in the same moment). I suggest you ah if you don't have time to stay on the game and sell.
2) make sales: especially for furnitures, you can make events (which cost money- so think about that) and sell your items there to people who come to your event.
3) All on me/us events: These events are for clothing/ appearance only, you were what you want to sell and people buy the items you wear (they can know what they want by Clicking on View outfit). you can make your own "All on me fs" events, or join to "All on us fs", which means someone else is hosting the event, but let other sellers sell in the same event too.
4)open auctions: You can go to Open Auctions events (i host sometimes ;) ) and sell what you want (especially appearance- depends on owner's rules). You can set a starting price- res and other people will bid if they interested.
5)Closed auctions: you can make your own Closed Auction, means you host the event, and other people can't sell in the same event without a permission from you. in Closed auctions, you can sell Furniture & Appearance because you're hosting the room- you can place furniture for sale. it works almost the same as open auctions- you set a res/ no res and people bid if they interested.

How to know how much item worth? Use price guide! there are few price guides, and i'm pretty sure that another one is comming out soon.

Don't know how much item worth/ Not in price guide? Ask people around, or look at ah prices and make average (sometimes people set high price and it doesn't show the real price of the item, be careful with ah prices.)

How to sell the item? Click on the player you want to sell to, then click on Trade Requestion, or ask from the someone who bought to send you trade. You can place in the trade Coins, Cash or items. if the buyer puts x money, you can't put money too. you need to put what you want to give FOR the x money. for example, if i bought x item, i put the x item i need to pay for it, and the seller put x item i bought.

NOTE: Never Let someone scam you, Before you buy something, doesn't matter what, check the worth of it, and manage your money!

How i manage your money? My way to manage my money: If You have, for example, X coins, and You want to buy Y for Z money. Check the price of Y First. Don't spend all of your money for Y, make sure you pay a fair price, and you still have x coins, So you don't want to stay with 0 coins, right?

Hope this helps! for any question about everything pm me anytime!

Whenever I have tried to sell items it asks for YoCash which I don't have and can't afford. Is that just how auctions work or am I doing something wrong?

When you sell items in the action house there is a premium feature that requires yocash .
But when you sell an item don't mess with the premium setting . You don't have to spend yocash to sell an item . It is just that if you do it will stay on the front page of the auction house so people are more likely to buy it . But you don't need to use premium . If you put an item in for a decent price it will probably sell . If you have any more questions then feel free to ask them . Have a nice day = D
