I'm confused. I missed out on a lot of the themes and the little things that went with them. I have been trying to go to sales and pick some up.

I saw a sale for 200c items. Went there and for 5 minutes, refreshing and all, no one was there. But I think the items they had for sale were the freebies.

Went to another sale that was something like 100c - 500c. Waited and no one there. Left and came back. There was someone there. I asked if they were the person having sale and she said no, friend left her there until came back. So I asked if could buy something. She said yea, follow me. So she requested to buddy, I accepted. Then she left. I tried to follow and kept ending up outside Alton Towers. Refreshed game. She was online. I tried to follow, was again outside Alton and she went offline.

I give up on this. I'm sure nothing was amiss, but after all that happened the last times I tried to do the events before BVG was owner, weird things happened. Guess I am too leery. I went ahead and removed from buddy list. I'm hoping it was just a glitch.

The other thing I'm not clear about is I thought free gifts were not able to be traded. Is this true for all or just some?

I think I need a nap. Then come back and try again.

I had awful trouble myself meeting up with someone i had just buddied. In the end like you it couldn't happen. This hasn't been the case before so maybe it was a glitch this evening for us both.

Not all free gifts are free gifts.. generally the items we receive from boxes our friends send us are not labelled free gifts.

The free gifts they put a block on trading was to stop the hackers etc who were some how changing the likes of toasters and such into - retro specs and turkey hats. Anything really expensive they was some how able to relabel a free gift into one of those. So Zynga blocked the ability to trade in free gifts. To try and curb that kinda goings on.

People would spend millions of coins on retro specs only to find they actually had a fake item. There were hundreds out there. Some people not wanting to take a loss, resold them, (one can understand that, since Zynga pretty much said, tough luck) to pass the problem on to someone else. Some people spent their yo savings on such items only to be screwed. Now they are stuck with FG's unable to be traded and sold for millions.

Stated wonderfully! ... & as for events... I am really leary , in fact I won't... too skittish.... I have watched too many things go wrong.

When you added that player were you 'offline' i.e your buddylist was off?

I have found that anyone I add whilst I am offline and even though they show up on my bl as online, I wont be able to jump / follow them until i have turned on my buddy list and likewise they cant follow me. So this might have been the reason you were being sent to the Towers - as that is where it will take you if you are trying to follow someone whilst you are offline. Hope that helps. It is nothing to worry about.

It might have been off. Was running on too little sleep to really pay close attention. So many details that were once second nature to me I keep forgetting. Getting reacquainted after the long time out of the game made for a few "oops" moments that's for sure.

Thanks for the tips. Will double check next time to make sure I am online.
