I think there are many people who don't understand the complexity of pricing tens of thousands of items. And they also don't seem to understand that the Price Guides are only guides done by people like you and me.

Nonsense! The Price guide compilers are just shirking their duty of perfection! I mean after all, how hard can it be to manage thousands of fluctuating prices daily? Of course they dont have lives, families or anything. And I bet they get paid loads just to do this for us! Oh wait... nevermind! I agree with you!!
Guides have been vilified from the beginning. I remember when Shan's guide would cause no end of drama on the old forum when it was updated and it was just a text based list.... Without the guides, there would be no comprehensive list of items, no easy way to search for something to get an idea of what it looks like, no way to remember if something was yc or coins. Use the guides but dont let them become the end all of how you buy and sell.... they are great research tools if you use them right. If someone you are trading with insists on using guides, just tell them Good day Sir!

I left the price guide section because it just got too much for me. I was up until 2:00 am some mornings, checking prices - yet had to go to bed then be up for 7:00 am to get my son to school and me to work. Why? Because I am in the UK, but the majority of the trading goes on when the US is awake - and that's a good five-eight hours behind me. The pressure got to me when real life took a turn for the worst, and I just could not cope.

We aren't all young kids sitting plotting prices to make us YoRich. Many of us are older people who actually have homes to run and jobs to go to. Having seen that side of YoRehab I have the utmost respect for those who have been able to stick at it.

Snorty, I have known you long enough to understand exactly what point you were making. ;)

I am sure that a lot of players DO think that we are all school-age youngsters with nothing to do other than play online games all day and create our own cyber wealth because we have no 'real lives'. I can't speak for YP but that is definitely not the case with YR.

You have been around long enough you should know that price guides are JUST a guide.

Well, I've been away for quite a while, I'm just getting back into it and at the time thought everyone used the guides.
It's OK I guess I just use them to know if the item is rare or not.

They have no tags, they are anonymous. No proof of who they are, how they monitor events etc for prices, nothing. All we know is that they want us to believe that the prices are what they tell us they are. Power and control.

I've never gone around anonymous. I always have Agent in my name or YoRehab in it. Most of the time it stays the same as Agent GiGiYoRehab. You can surely spot us. There's no deception on our part. Just had to clarify that for you guys! :D

I do realize that not all people that work for the price guides have an agenda. I have come across someone on the forum that works for one of the guides as an agent and she always seems to have a balanced outlook on things and does not come across as having an agenda.

That being said, it has come to my attention through recent developments on the facebook community website that one agent for yorehab was removed from the game permanently as he was selling coins.

I would like clarification on this person and if he still works for yorehab. I would also like to know the extent of his involvement in price fixing on yorehab or more specifically what items this person was monitoring. Was he a senior agent, did he have people that he supervised and what measures ( if any) yorehab has taken in order to prevent this happening in future.

Also, it is impossible for him to have fixed prices on his personal items as any price changes has to be approved and reviewed by the PG head and other PG agents :)

I know I am directing this at your guide but it could very well be happening over at the other guide too. I'm not picking on you, it's just that it happened to your guide.

I don't know this person's agent name so I cannot check that he still works there. Is it possible that this person colluded with other agents to pull a fast one on the PG head. How do you know that the agent's haven't formed a 'cell' and are still manipulating prices according to the directive of an unnamed third party.

Hey, your questions are very much welcome by me. I am on top of the PG all day everyday and I do not let anything get by. Each agent has to post a screenshot verified by other agents before they can update prices. I don't think the agent that you are talking about is someone that would manipulate the guide in anyway. He is a good person who made a bad decision by trying to sell off his Yo stuff when the game was about to end.

I don't understand this post a screen shot, screen shot what of some other person's trade? Or screen shot of an event of two people talking and agreeing on a price?

Also one thing that has always bugged me, how can you have prices on everything in a theme that just left the stores. It would seem to me that you put what you all put what you agree it SHOULD be, because there is no history to have a knowledge from evidence.

Screenshots of people buying and selling in fb pages, forums, events. YoRehab is a guide. It suggests prices of how much items are ROUGHLY going for. Nothing is 100% accurate. These are suggestions. It's up to you how to use these price suggestions.

Yes and any response concerning when items first leave store. And yes I do understand they are a guide, I have been saying that in the many posts I have put in this thread.

When items leave stores, we take a while to price them because we have to watch sales first and we need to make sure are prices are close to accurate :) We do not invent prices. We price them as we see them :)

So I just seen you Nic on this post today..If you posted earlier, I'm sorry, I work about 50-55 hours a week & have a bunch on my plate. Saying that, I don't have time to search events, compare prices & check prices on both guides. Maybe you answered this before, I don't have time to read all posts but try... I would like to know why the difference in prices between 2 guides. You know how you all come up with the prices. If an item is selling at an "average" price, then wouldn't both guides mark that item at an average price or do you pick your own prices? I understand everyone is saying a guide is not a bible, but its info for some of us & if its not even close, then what do we use if we don't have that time to research.? Yes, I know its just a game, but just like everyone else, we have money invested in the game too. Or is this based on popularity? One guide is higher than the other, so the higher one will be used more than the accurate one?? Just trying to understand & thank you for so much info on this post :)

Because it's not exact.. there is NO way possible for them to be exact. They are just a basic guide.
