What happens to those coins? Nothing, they go poof. So this 'cycle' some of you speak of, slowly removes coins from the game as well, 10% from each sale to be exact. Especially from big purchases, in which 10% is a terribly large amount.

I wonder what a new player would think reading that lol

I agree, that statement might be shocking but also true. I have seen so many players say, you can not get that amount of coins unless you hack or scam and that just isn't true. If you have a player who has always spent money in this game and hoarded items for years. If that players sells off that hoard, it isn't hard to obtain that many coins. Look at some of the high coin 08 costumes......if you bought some back when they were 300k as an example and they now sell for 30m....sell some costumes and old items and boom....300m all earned legitimately.
Now, that same player like to shop, so they spend those coins fast......guess what? They will still need to buy yocash if the want things, because like I said, that is how they played the game all along........

You also made my other point. The people with the stupid amount of coins or means to get stupid amount of coins just shuffle it back and forth between each other, while making slight raises in costs along the way.
The rich get richer and the poor well they just stay poor.

Now, how can anyone expect to sell, and make profit, if having over 5m or 10m coins is then uncommon? They would have to lower the prices of their goods to make profit.

It is highly unlikely they will ever have such an influx of new players at any given time, that it will out number older players. Certainly it wouldn't be a model to base the game off of.

I am not so sure BVG has a long time to just let things heal, considering their expenses. I could be wrong.

I agree. The feeling that I got from the post about their expenses is that they need to be able to recoup some of that in a hurry. I don't see them willing to go infinitely into the red just to keep this game open. Something has got to give, if they want to recoup those losses. They've had an initial "goodwill" spending bump but not only did their post seem to indicate that that didn't go very far, but I can't see people doing that over and over again.
As of now, the only way for a new player to get into the fold and not become disillusioned would be to buy a huge amount of YC and deal when a new release drops. But how would a new player know to do that? And what would make them so enamored with the game that they would do that?

This may be a bad thing for the newer players though because everything is so expensive, like hairs that use to be worth like 10k are now worth 75k+... How do you feel towards the current yoconomy and would you like the old one back?

I agree with you there.
I do think it's admirable that they want to keep the game in tact for the existing player base. But I can't see any long term viability in that. And it would defeat the purpose of saving the game eventually.
Anthony (102235402) wrote:For those of you who say that new players might not stick around, it may be true, but a feature is being created to help everyone earn more coins. Now all we have to do is be patient and wait for it.
Now, for those of you who believe that what's happening now with the pricing of new items in stores, is not enough, you are not the only player who plays this game, there are players who I have seen, spend over 100k daily just buying items from stores, and decorating. So you may not be a heavy spender, but there are those who are. And over time, it snowballs. Spending just a little a day can have big effects, I think some of you are not seeing this.
If a new player comes in and sees that they have a good amount of ways of earning coins, they might continue to play. And, again, it snowballs, new players begin to increase, just take a look at it, the number of daily users increased, from 40,000, to 60,000, right after BVG bought the game. How many of them could be legit new players? In while, new players will have to outnumber the old ones, and there is no stopping it.

Yes, not to many new players will stick around if they know they have to shell out a bunch of money to just get started. Who knows though?!? Some might do it. I think with a lot of the players who brought in a lot of hacked coins gone, eventually will spend them in store. Even the ones that have 100's of millions of coins will go back down to the middle class yo(This would probably take yeeeeaaaarrrrrssss).
Those who buy yocash will always have the upper hand, and it should be that way because they are the ones keeping the game alive.
