This is how BVG feels about it.
3. Will old items and collectibles be re-released?
Gary: If the item was officially released previously and everyone had the opportunity to get it, then no. We know item rarity and value is very important to the players, and we respect that.

But like you say, until we get clear cut information with absolutely no room for interpretation then this is a story that will go on

It was available to every player who played at that time. it had a timer and was in store the whole of that time. Valjean for instance was pulled without warning as was the cross and all the other short release stuff. It was not available to everyone. The tiger rug does not compare to any of the short releases since it was available to everyone at the time.
It doesnt matter to me anymore. I just roll with the flow. i dont even care about collecting much anymore. I have a collection that i will finish and then see how I feel about it. the rerelease and release thing has been dragged through the wringer so often that all the words become meaningless strings of nonsense.

so wrong!!! you are sooo wrong.. was for VIP only.. I went to buy it, wasnt able to because I wasn't vip.. yet vip wasn't even in game at that point.. not publicly.... so no.. was not available to all.. sorry, dead wrong on that.. I know that 1st hand.. not rumor.. I tried to buy it.. could NOT!

It was a 2008 collectible wasnt it? I was collecting all the collectibles and when i was searching for this i didnt see anything like that. Can someone else from 2008 confirm this? did anyone buy it in store? I would think it would be a lot more expensive if this was the case! you could be right, i was not very active in 2008.... I just never heard this.

Kenzie (118529394) wrote:No it doesn't. Gary stated that specifically about the pants. He's additionally stated that he understands rarity of items and their value to players....and he respects that. The pants situation is different because all current players could've purchased them but they were removed. So re-releasing them would be to the same set of players. The 08 costumes, cupids bow, celtic cross and such were made available to all players in 08 and 09 - you had to be playing then to get them. Releasing them now would negate the benefit/reward of playing long-term. Many many players have put years into this game and hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.

Celtic cross was not available to all players in 08/09. I was playing at the time but I was asleep during the few seconds it was in game. People that live in the world outside america have different time zones and this should be taken into account.

It's easy to get a Ninja or Mummy costume. Just buy some yocash. Next release, pick a new 'hot' cash item and sell it for coins. It won't be long until you have enough coins to buy either outfit.

Good luck :)

Hahaha! No, but I wish I had clairvoyant powers. The name comes from my mode of transportation into the city. I also happen to like the color. How's that for a clear explanation?

Yes but those words could mean several things. And that's why people are arguing because of the way it's stated. So the way you understand it could be different then the way others understand it but as I said what ever will be will be. I do believe they won't re-release older items. I'm not sure about short time released, no one knows.

I have a few items that are valuable.. I have costumes too.. and it really wouldn't bother me to see releases... just make everything yocash.. that way BVG make money, players that do not buy cash cannot get the items, and will at the same time keep yoeconomy stirring....

I have an idea!!! Why don't we IGNORE the rumor threads? :o They can't talk about it if no one will discuss it with them. At that point they will leave or converse with themselves.........I didn't read this whole thread because frankly I don't give a crap what BVG does, so I simply by-pass the "rumor" threads. It really IS pretty easy to do.......
There's not a bit of difference in starting a thread asking about these rumors than there is starting a thread asking BVG what they are or are not going to do. You think none of the Vikings have seen any of these threads and what is being said? Believe me, they are well aware of what is being said on this forum and they must have a good reason for not addressing the questions AGAIN.......... ;)
And even if Gary wrote up this big speech addressing the matter, there would still be people coming here asking questions and interpreting whatever it is he says in a different way than the next person.

That does make sense, the Celtic Cross for example, if it was in fact released, did everyone have a chance to obtain one? :|

it's not always about the money... why can't players get a chance to buy those things??? the game was almost dead.. now the idea of them releasing a few pixels will suddenly crash the world as we know it??? don;t think so..

but. better than releases.. how about they just remake every costume in a different color.. then everyone is happy happy... new costumes for those that have already (just in different color) and new cool costumes for the ones that cannot afford trillions..

pink or orange ninjas... blue big daddy... whatever.. limitless possiblities..

but, should not always be about the money.. is a game.. and everyone should be able to enjoy the game :)

Yes actually anyone that played at that time had the chance in my opinion. As someone said it's no different then any other item. If you were there at the right time. You got it. And if they did decide to release it to be fair to the ones that missed out on it. As someone said it should only be fair to the people who played when it was released. Not everyone should get it.

They can have the chance to buy...all it takes is buying yocash and dealing it. Or buy yocash and buy out of the ah.
And as far as remaking they said they might make new things that are similar. And who knows their costumes they put out might be way better then some of those that zynga put out but i'm pretty sure they won't just change the color of them. I don't understand why people can't be a little patient and see what bvg has in store for us. Actually I can't wait :)

It is getting rather old I must admit!
I actually don't remember when the pink and blue rets came out because i was still relatively new to the game and was too busy trying to earn enough coins to furnish my apartment. same with Halloween costumes. I didn't buy ANY of it because A. I didn't have 20 thousand coins and B. I was oblivious at that time to clothing. My entire time was spent on trying to decorate my apartment. (IDIOT) LMAO. Even so, in no way do i feel it was unfair that i didn't get a chance to buy. I supposed i could have...if i had been more aware. Instead I have spent considerable time earning coins to get the coveted costumes i didnt buy when in stores. And I am OK with that.
I too am sick of the constant threads about it all. And would like to see and end of it!!!! :D

on many things I have little or no knowledge, that's a given.. but on this, I know for sure, because I contemplated buying it for quite a while (I was so poor I couldn't even afford to pay attention)... and when I finally clicked to buy it I was not allowed to buy it.. when asking about vip back then, nobody knew anything..
