... But I cannot keep giving things away. I met this girl, I think she's pretty young. Anyway it started out with me helping her out with coins, then she comes and asks if I have any accessories that she can buy cheap. I ended up giving her stuff.. Now she comes every day asking for stuff. I feel bad just saying out right that I am not her piggy bank so I just ignored her and deleted her off of my buddy list. The one day her friend came in the room and asked me if she could be my daughter too. I was like WHAT? I don't play that game. She just looked at me and said "huh"?.... IDK.. I like to help people and I do all the time, but I'm not rich. I sell and buy, thats how I have what I want, and sometimes I sell things that I don't want to sell just because I need coins... Just ranting..

Yea I wouldn't feel bad about it but I know what you mean. It happens to me all the time. Then I feel bad to have to delete them because it becomes obvious they are going to keep coming back for more stuff all the time.

Don't feel bad. I've done the same. Once in a while, you will come across one that isn't a beggar and truly appreciates what you do for them. The others? Just have to delete and move on. They'll either figure it out, find another sucker or quit. Don't worry. Theres plenty more where that one came from.
I have to tell you a little story. I ran across a young girl. At the time, I had no clue how old she was, but she seemed nice enough. We became friends and I see her almost every day now. After we had hung out a little while, she asked if she could borrow an item. I decided to take a chance and said yes. We traded. She took that item and wore it for a few days, then one day she popped up and said I need to give you your item back. I actually was shocked. That was a few weeks ago. Now, she is always borrowing my stuff. She always brings it back to me and trades for something else. I have let her borrow cheap stuff and stuff that costs a few millions.
Now she is after a certain hair that cost 2m. I've become her banker. :D She makes coins and brings them to me. They are all recorded on white boards. She has gotten up to almost 800k now. I told her that the coins were hers and she could get them any time she wanted but in order to move ahead in the game, she has to save and she has to sacrifice some times and not "want" it all.
She doesn't know that I've already purchased the hair shes after. I'm trying to teach her how to get a head in the game and always giving her what she wants and not making her work for isn't helping her.
I give her stuff to sale and tell her how much I want for it. If she sales for more than that, she gets the coins. So far its working out and I hope that some day in the future, maybe she will pay it forward and help someone like I'm helping her.

Wow Renee! That's an amazing thing to do. It would be awesome if we could trust everyone and then all of the older players could adopt a new player, and teach them how to survive in Yo. Sadly, too many of them end up begging. It's happened to me too.

Well, thanks guys. I certainly don't recommend doing this to anyone, because we all know that its a big risk. I took a chance and so far, it has worked out. Its kinda fun too, I must admit.......

Classic case of you giving an inch, and someone with no boundaries taking a mile. :(

You have every right to put your foot down if you feel your boundaries are being crossed, and move on to helping those who appreciate it and dont take advantage of your good nature.

i am always shocked when people do that but in some weird way that Is their game:-( , i think they came in with friends who told this is the way to play. i only ran into it ,a couple of times. i am afraid i am always so shocked i say something right away about how this is considered rude in game and if begging against tos. one time they replied "don;t get your panties in a wad" lol..aaaaaaahh

once someone wished for something , some outfit , and i gifted it to her and she said thank you ..then the next day came and told me she would like ? or some hair ..i laughed and said sorry i don;t have a store . she then asked for something i had in inventory she had gone shopping i guess on my profile. i said please don;t do that, most of my things i worked really hard to earn or were gifts from friends . She actually came back and said please please give me something. i said i Did , i granted your wish. then began serious begging and i just said if she did it one more time i would report her. she never came back .

Keep on giving but if no thank you (i used to say please give as much thought to your thank you as you did when making up a huge wishlist...or a Beg comes that person is Invisable to me if i see them wishing again . sometimes you might gift someone just because you feel like it when you see them in forum but even then sometimes you get Bit. Don;t let it stop you from surprising someone who truly will appreciate what you did and never expect more? i always figure if someone is asking how to earn money and i tell them (the factory as many times as you can, i spent days collecting nitro , then special d, or before the gifts i sent (back when we could ) as many as i could and way back opened every single box by finger:-), again when they actually had coin in the:-() and when i see someone working that way i am over the top happy to help them in whatever way i can. if they are looking for the easy way..nope

One day I was at a g4g event and a "noob" probably pretty young gifted me and she was surprised when I gave her a hair it was just a noob hair but I was trying to be nice she was so thankful but then she started following me around everywhere and asking the same question "DO YOU HAVE EYES OR HAIR?" And when I would say no very nicely she would say okay and come back 5 minutes later and ask again I would say no very nicely for about 2 weeks then I traded her and gave her 100k and said I'm sorry and I deleted her.

I am always a gifter. It makes me feel good. heck I even gift to people here on the forum that I never even talked to... But you know what? If this girl would have showed some type of appreciation, like maybe writing me a nice message telling me ty or even gifting something to me, ANYTHING, even a free gift. I would have probably kept giving her things just because I like to make people happy. In the 5 yrs I have been playing I have never asked for anything, not even a wishlist. And I have never gotten anything either (well I can't say that, yes I have traded things with friends) but from a total stranger? Nope... I don't care... I'm sure I have more than a lot and I'm sure a lot have more than me. Thats how I look at it... Oh well.. now I'm just rambling... Thanks guys :)
