This isn't real life though and i agree they should just get rid of the percentage takeaway. It's only making items go up.

In order to keep the economy healthy, we need to be taking Coins and YoCash out of it since we also introduce new Coins every day. If we didn't, the economy would quickly develop inflation, and all prices across the game would go up.
We look at the Auction House as a service that allows us to apply a modest tax to a transaction. Players are not forced to use the AH, and if a private trade is made, no tax is charged on the coins. This tax helps keep the economy in check, and reduces inflation.
In the ideal world, nobody wants to pay taxes or fees, however it's unrealistic. The reality is, for many players who are complaining about the 10% fee, they were given 100% of the coins for free just by logging in. It's like somebody on Welfare complaining about having to pay sales tax.
If all players wanted a game where everything was free and there were no fees applied to anything, you would get exactly what you wanted....for about 2 months. After the 2 months, the game would be shut down because there would be no way to pay the roughly 25 people that are currently working on YoWorld.

Is the people having Sales and Auctions on their own paying a percentage of what they make? I just don't believe that is fair, and it sure ups the price of things knowing we are going to lose a percentage.!

Well, most people don't press the buy now button, they bid to whats reasonable, so no.
and some don't even put a buy now price.
