There is no word in Yo that rustles my Jimmies like 'worth' when it is applied by one person to someone else's item. The concept of worth is not transferable. You may apply it to your items and your items alone, unless you are buying something from someone else. Then that item has a 'worth' to you, that is irrelevant to the seller. If you happen to agree on a 'worth', THEN you have a transaction.

I do not care what events say it is worth.
I do not care what price guides say it is worth.
I do not care what your friend Bubba says it is worth.
I do not care what it is listed for in the AH.

All I care about is what I think it is worth. Period. And if you try to leverage my idea of 'worth' by contrasting it with an external source, then you will quickly find yourself rubbing your backside at Altons. I do not suffer foolishness.

I've started trading again and I think it is making me mean. LOL 8-)

I can't deal with face to face trading anymore >.< Between haggling and inventory taking a year to load...meh. I like the AH. People can buy my stuff if it's worth it to them, and I can buy theirs if it's worth it to me. Drama free.

I feel the same way. I've even stacked up stuff in an empty house - thinking of having a sale. But when it comes right down to it, I just can't.

I agree that things are "worth" only what any particular buyer is willing to pay at the time the seller wishes to sell. But the item does have value based on its history of sale. The problem is, there is no real way to gauge that figure. Price guides are faulty for reasons that have been discussed elsewhere. The new Auction House system of averaging past sales and posting that figure is an amazing idea; however, it's influenced by money traders. I think something like that, without the errors, would be a good way of judging value and would prevent both price jacking and low balling.

Ikr?! Then I don't have to dress up or look "rich" to get the seller's attention LOL And I don't have to worry about those annoying yos who don't talk and just wander through your house when you're having a sale. Only problem is it seems to always be the same old stuff in the AH. I wonder if I could find all the stuff I've been hunting for in events, but I just can't do it. I do miss those midnight sales with smaller items, good prices and polite sellers, though,

If I was given 10k for everytime Ive been quoted Yorehab prices on MY sale of an item.....Id be worth Billions....lol

My item...my price

If someone comes in with a Price Quote from a Priceguide I simply tell the person to go buy it from the priceguide and they get a quick trip to Altons

My my my, I'm just agreeing with a LOT of peeps today. Well said... I would do the same. I think if someone doesn't like my price then they shouldn't come to me when they know I'm selling my item at a different price than they want. Real simple reasoning there.

I miss Yard sales lol. It was fun back in the day before things got crazy. And again, I agree that there is not a whole lot of new item for me in the AH, BUT.. i do keep checking!
