So, YoFans... What was the best concert that
you've ever been to?
Alright, so in case you haven't heard of Vans Warped Tour, it is a concert with all sorts of rock, metal, and alternative bands. It has both famous bands and bands that are trying to make a name for themselves. It happens EVERY SUMMER, since 1995. This year was the first time that I have gone with my mom. Unlike my dad, she actually danced around and jumped around when we were at the stage for a band called I Prevail. We ended up getting money to spend to buy band merchandise. I thought it COULDN'T get any better. I was already having a lot more fun that usual. And then IT HAPPENED. Something that has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. My mom went to the Reverse Daycare center where the parents can go in the ac and hang out while their kids can go to the shows in the hot sun, on the asphalt. There I was, outside of the Reverse Daycare Center. This woman walked up to me saying "I work for Vans Warped Tour and we don't have enough help right now, would you like to come back and help me feed all the bands their dinner? You get to meet everyone who comes for dinner and talk to everyone. I asked my mom to "run off" and go help and she said YES. While there, I met this one guy in a band and lots of workers for warped tour. The guy in the band stood next to me, the singer of this band trying to get known, stood next to me, he heard me singing and he sung BACKUP VOCALS for ME! I thought it couldn't get better, but I didn't know which all bands I'd get to meet or how many, well the answer turned out to be 4. I only didn't get to meet 4 of the bands. I met Jule Vera, Watsky, CKY [don't know their music yet, BUT THEY ARE SO FRIENDLY,] Hawthorne Heights a band I've known about for YEARS, Futuristic, Attila [the band I bought a CD of last year, but didn't meet them then,] The Night Of [pretty cool people,] Dance Gavin Dance, Beartooth, Neck Deep, Hands Like Houses, Memphis May Fire [listened to their music on repeat a few years ago,] Save Ferris, Our Last Night [this band is so friendly, asked them their favorite part of being in a band and it is to bring people together and how the lyrics can make people feel something,] Bad Cop/Bad Cop, The Artarls, Municipal Waste, TSOL, Valient Thorr, Riverbed Gamblers, The Adolescents, Sick Of It All, Poeta, War on Women [these ladies are really cool,] Sonic Boom Six, Barb Wire Dolls [this band fangirled over me, they kept saying that I am so cute/pretty and how they love my personality, one of my favorites that I met,] The White Noise, Alestorm, William Control, Candiria, Counterparts, Silent Planet, Stick to Your Guns, Fit For a King, Hatebreed, blessthefall [I know some of their music they are super cool people,] Being As an Ocean, Sylar, Silverstein, Too Close to Touch, Hundreth, Sworn In, Emmure, The Acacia Strain, After the Burial, Carnifex, GWAR, Movements, Farewell Winters, tiLLie, Creeper, Mothersound, Shattered Sun, Feeki, Boston Manor!, Trophy Eyes [they are very chill, really cool,] The Gospel Youth, Knocked Loose, Microwave [asked why that's their name, they were drunk,] and then the last band, the one I got to sit down and eat dinner with, Stacked Like Pancakes. I ate mashed potatoes with a band called Stacked Like Pancakes. To make it even better, I got 12 autographs! I also got INVITED to help out AGAIN NEXT YEAR. BEST EVER!
