I've seen a lot of DIY furniture tutorials on the forums recently, and wanted to share mine :)

DIY Sittable Dainty Canopy Bed

Image Image

Requirements: Approximately 20,000-30,000 coins, patience, layering know-how

Items needed:
6x Cream Window Curtain WF2018 (à 1500 coins)
6x Green Taku Credenza (à 800 coins)
optional amount of Green Taku Hand Towels (à 200 coins)
optional amount of pillows and cushions of your choice (I used Throw Pillows from the Atlantic Voyage theme, à 500 coins)

Steps:

1. Start by creating the canopy.

2. Lay down the six Taku Credenzas. You can also switch the order of steps 1 & 2, it all boils down to preference.

3. Fit the canopy to match the size of the Credenza arrangement by moving the Curtains together slightly.

4. Accessorize with pillows & continue to fit the pieces together as much as necessary. I strongly advise saving this step for last or second-to-last, as you will definitely encounter some layering issues with this step. You will need to move the pillows around to find the right spots.

5. Add the Towels as a bedskirt. I used about 20 in the first model design and 40 in the step-by-step tutorial one.

6. Enjoy!

I haven't seen this exact design anywhere yet, but if someone has come up with it before me – sorry for stealing your thunder, great minds and so forth. Feel free to use and modify this design however you want! The Credenza bed base with a towel skirt is pretty common knowledge in the deco community, so that particular aspect is not my original idea.
