we were hit with the rain turning to ice rain-our power was down since around 5 p.m. and just got it all back now after 1 a.m.-i was freezing as I have electric heat
I couldn't get on laptop as battery was low-phone worked with data for a bit but the the phone died and couldn't charge it!
Altho very dangerous for any who has to go out-most places today are already posting they are closed. It was so quiet and dark out one could hear the ice clinking off the branches,it is a beautiful sight but so is having my heat and lights back on!
whoever else got hit-please keep safe-extra socks helped!

Stay warm and safe Jo bundle up in a bunch of blankets. .A good portion of the states are supposed to to get blizzards and heavy snow. It's all above and behind us though.. We haven't gotten any snow this year or much last year .It's supposed to be 77 today then from Fri on it's going to drop to the 50's and 40's during the day's and the 30's at night .Strange weather we're having.

Stay safe and warm, JustJo! We had no snow left due to the +10C/+12C temps we were having!. Yesterday we got hit with snow, freezing rain, then ice pellets mixed with snow and then more snow (approx. 12cm)! It has been a very unusual winter here in Southern Ontario!

Anyone who can, get something like this. I have a few for camping, but they're great for power outages. Many even power refrigerators. One this size keeps my tiny camping fridge, computer, and phone (unlimited data) charged for three days before I have to charge it again.
