Anonymous was full of trolls, but alot of them meant well and wanted a better world. Not everyone is the sum of the least member's lowest moment, but the Q-Anon thing was quite different.
I have it on some authority that I would never reveal, that the entire Q-Anon thing as well as Parler was set up by a group of ex 4channers who were seeking to phish tf out of a certain group who seemed to revel in being tech-illiterate. Most every link that was shared was a phishing scam, and Parler was even easier to data-mine info from these people. Many of the sites that post a great deal of rascist and sexist 'research' are phishing sites, not credible info but they know that people will click and clickbait is just become very politically directed.
Q-Anon has no real comparison to say, WikiLeaks and the people behind it have NO desire to inform or share info, but they do have SOME truth they can wrap their lies around, that's honestly how the media does it as well and their motives are just as arbitrary. But they didn't target that group for any reasons other than data mining, it wasn't because they held them in contempt (or should I say, they don't hold them in any more contempt than they hold everyone most likely, they are not a happy benevolent group.)
But thats just my very educated and likely cynical opinion.

Thank god for the delete button. I added something a bit personal about my life in the post and I was like “NOPE. Delete.”

Now only if there is one in real life. I never said a slur, but god knows I can be mean when I’m angry. :dizzy:

Yes Hawkette, when you said people say what they truly feel when they’re angry, you’re not wrong. It’s just that some things are better left unsaid. For the sake of both people.

I just got tired of the 4chan talk, I hate it and think 4channers are losers, and nothing will change my mind.

Aww man we all mess it up. It's why I absolutely never cancel anyone out, no matter how badly they've treated me. I know I've done worse to others at times, and I'm always grateful for second chances. Besides, when people treat me wrong, if I'm honest with me I know that I probably contributed to it.

:) :rose:

As for 4Chan, Anonymous, Reddit, Q, and any other places where ideas get tossed around, I don't mind reading and discussing. But I am very careful in what I truly believe. A smart man once told me to never be so open minded that your brain leaks out, but never be so closed minded that new ideas can't get in. We are the sum of our ideas, emotions, and experiences. Embrace them all.

Sorry if I hijacked the thread. Won't talk about things that other people don't like, or I will start a thread on it specifically so only those who do want to talk about it can if they want.
I have learned the same fallacy of thinking that makes people racist and sexists and homophobic (AND transphobic since that is a big thing nowdays) makes for the same judgement that can be passed on in any group, culturally or demographically as well. Not everyone is guilty of what most members of a group have done, but I lost my blanket judgements in my mid 40s. Some things I still got to call myself out on, I am grateful now for my age that allows me this progression, I doubt I was like this a decade back. I was quick to judge anyone, now I hold judgement- almost indefinitely, as it's rarely accurate, and I seek accuracy in my old age.

Never a problem in my threads. I prefer organic thought streams. And if someone gets torqued because my thread moves off center, they have options.

Age is a definite benefit. My 20 year old self was nothing short of an infinite asshole. I'm glad the people in my life at that time were patient. Because the me right now would kick that guy's ass. LOL

Don't feel bad. I look back and cringe at my teenage years and early 20s and wanna punch my younger self in the testicles.

No worries, your Teens and 20s will be full of enough cringe without going THAT far back. I know that better than anybody. LOLOL
