I've recently returned to Yo after a break and need to sell a few items as I gifted all my coins away before I left. In the old days, I just priced stuff at whatever I felt they were worth, which was easy cause I went to events often and sort of had a feel for the going rate. Being gone for a while I have no clue what things are selling for, so I figured I would check the priceguides (even though I use to dislike them  )

That was no help as the 2 I checked... yorehab and yopriceville had widely different prices for the same item. for example: the fun magician assistant from the Fun Fair theme is listed as being 750-800k on yorehab and only 70-80k on yopriceville.

Any advice for a returning Yo on how to get a feel for current prices? Thanks in advance

There's a new 'average selling price' in the AH that tells you the average the items has sold for previously :) Try listing high price guides then search your items and mouse over the little question mark (I must point out though that not all average prices are reliable :) )

You don't see that item FS very often. I would put it at 2 mil with a buy out of 3 mil.

LOL! I don't want to over price it and get stuck with it.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I need to investigate this Auction House thing.

Take whatever the Bible says and at least triple it. Sometimes 10 times.

Only thing it's ever accurate on is 08 cossies and retros.

That thing doesn't even work, there's coin stuff that apparently the average price is in the thousands.

I saw others say it was an average "listing" price not "selling" price...which is correct? Anyone know?

It's average selling but unfortunately people sometimes transfer coins using useless cheap items so some prices mess up. Also if you list an item that's not been sold within the previous 2 weeks then it will not give you a price as there hasn't been one and instead it'll say 'N/A'

10 times? not sure if your joking or not. Yorehab use to give you a good guess. Looks like priceville is waaaaay way off. I'm still confused on what an auction house is

Thanks Samberg and everyone else. I guess I'll just go with rehab prices and one of two things will happen: Peeps will get a great cheap price or it will all be too expensive and no one will buy any of it. hahahaha!

Thanks again.
