Kay that being said. when I over see her.. online ..adventures, I see ALL the different acronyms that are out there and there are a lot and they (that generation) are adding new ones each and everyday. I keep google handy when I want to know what some actually mean.

I swear I've picked up so many of these acronyms that when I'm texting I don't even realize I'm using them anymore.

Its a changing world indeed.

I still use Google for some also! :lol:

I used to think "SMH" meant, "So Much Hate" until I googled it! :lol:

the best i saw was a woman putting lol at the end of a text after a bad accident or somethin someone had told her because she thought it meant lots of love

I agree with this.

If I were to say "I finally finished decorating" and someone said "IDGAF" and another person said "Who cares?", I don't find the second response any better than the first. The intent behind them is the same.

Fair point - rude is rude - the intent is there. But I point back to, you know there are many folks out there, who are religious, or young, or parents who have young children who don't want their kids to see that kinda language. There are also older people on the forums who have never used that kinda language. I guess i'm saying, because someone says WT* and i use that example simply cause its the easiest for me to type and remember (i'm not that good at all the acronyms out there) Well the whole point of banning the F word is so people don't have to be subjected to the language. if ya gonna acronym it, why bother banning the actual word.

I don't feel responsible for other people's religious beliefs to that kind of extent. As for children, a teenager who is 13 and has access to the internet has probably seen a lot worse than an acronym that replaces a swear word with a letter. And I can't speak on BVG's behalf to say why they generally allow one and not the other.
