Viking John wrote:Hey everyone!
As it's been stated a few times in this thread quoting Gary's interview with YoRehab, if any item has officially been released by Zynga in the past we will not be putting it back into the game. Accidental releases such as the Menorah Hat are different, as they weren't an official release.
All of your 08 and 09 costumes, retro specks, and all the other valuable items that have been released before are not going to be re-released. As Gary mentioned, we understand the value of rare items and want to keep it that way.
If you see people posting 'rumor' threads about releases coming tomorrow or next week, if it's not a post from one of us then it's exactly that, a rumor!
I hope this helps clear things up for everyone!

It is common to see events with no noobs or RICH in their descriptions. These people take pleasure in creating a class culture in which the poor eat scraps off the floor while the rich feast at their table of iniquity. People against a level playing field or against discussion around items and releases seem to buy into the plutocratic lifestyle wholeheartedly and their intentions must be carefully scrutinized.

As far as " How are us as players supposed to know which item falls into which category?" Why are you supposed to know. What gets released gets released.

I agree. The cross was released for about an hour and then removed, thus not allowing a fair chance for most people to buy it. Any other three day or one day themes were official releases for specific holidays. We won't see them re-released as we were all aware these themes were coming into Yo as Zynga did give notice beforehand. That notice constitutes a 'fair chance' for players who played Yo at the said time.

As someone said it's no different then any other item. If you were there at the right time. You got it. And if they did decide to release it to be fair to the ones that missed out on it. As someone said it should only be fair to the people who played when it was released. 3. Not everyone should get it.
1. But what about the people that were sleeping around the world at that time? Not everyone is in the same time-zone, some people might have been working.
2. How could that possible be considered fair? You are comparing an item that was only in stores for what some claim to be only a few seconds, to other items that could have lasted in stores for a few days.
3. If it's released, I highly doubt it will be released for that certain group of people. Then everyone will argue about how that's not fair. Why ever release it when its only for a small group of people?
Well actually Ant. Bvg is talking about having their own exclusive number items. I mean it's really no different then the gary pants. I'm not really sure why people seem to think things are so unfair. I think it keeps the game interesting when they have exclusive items. The thing is if they do release it again. It should only be for the ones that played the game back then. I mean that's the argument in the first place that the ones that played back then didn't get the chance to get it. Well those should be the only ones that get the chance to get it then. And the same with any short time releases if they'd happen to release them. Only people that missed out while playing the game should get those items.

This is how it reads to me as well. Though this is exactly what I thought Gary conveyed in his YoRehab interview also.

This thread is a hoot. SPECULATION is profitable for both players and BVG. When statements get made, all they do is incite further rants and more giggles from me. And now I see calls being made for LISTS of items that will be in one pile or the other. Are you not entertained? Do you not see the humor in these requests?
Some of my play is to trade. I win some bets and I lose some bets. Either way, I am having fun. If the put it all back in Yo, bring it on. If they don't, fine.

Accidental releases BVG does not deem as official release.Viking John wrote:Accidental releases such as the Menorah Hat are different, as they weren't an official release.
