How do you know nobody's buying it? I still buy tons of stuff from old themes to decorate with. If decorators are still buying yocash pieces, which they are, BVG is making money. If they close them out, they might get a few people spending so they can stockpile but in the long run they will make more $$ if they keep those open. At least until there's more new stuff to replace the old.

Adding a collectible item every week or 2 would be the best idea

I agree with you there. With the luxury theme I use them condo walls from the living room. They are really nice and wont be happy if they leave store!

I think until new items are being put out regularly that none should be taken away right now as is difficult now to decorate as there is not much to work from right now Zyanga took out too many themes all at once and made it difficult for us to decorate . Also BVG needs to make some money and until more items ar e being released I am sure there are lots not buying a lot of yocash right now and are waiting for new items. though I wish they would take out themes that are no longer available as they are not releasing any of them and is a pain having to wade through them all to get to what is available though I guess the store will look a little bare these days. Also I think also not every one can buy huge amounts of yocash so some have to do so much on each Pay day and do not think they should have to suffer when they do not get a far opportunity to save up and one week is kinda a short span. We do not all get paid on the same dates. is my thought any ways and we have to let BVG make some money as to keep the game going. :)

I know some people won't agree with me, but its just my opinion and my opinion only! Leaving everything in the stores makes playing the game a little dull. If you put timers on items BVG, people will buy more yocash and more yocash sales makes for a happier BVG payroll! If you added timers to some items, you betcha life I will be purchasing alot of yocash to stock my over 300 homes!! Thanks for letting me speak my mind...have a great day <3 :) ;)

I know some people don't play like this. There's maxing, gifting, pageants, debating, and a plethora of other ways people play. Yo's not just a buy, sell trade game, BUT in all fairness, why change the initial concept? .Our "community" has progressed into many facets, however, it's not like they have to forego what we've established in Yo as far as the economic platform goes. It's like learning a new game and we have no clue as to what the hecks going on.. I can't figure it out, but I don't want the buy sell players think they've abandoned this concept of rarities. I think it's a great idea to put timers on some of the items if not all. Just my two cents.

I agree!

Seriously? If any group of players of this game have been crapped all over by Zynga (jury is still out on BVG) its the decorators. In the rush for more *rare* items players like this demand. :?

Me too :) And I for one am not saying that everything needs put on timers but they do need exclusive items. Even if it's one or two here and there.

Completely agree with the O.P!! :) Otherwise, why rush buying these items from the store, when i'll likely be able to buy them at a cheaper price from an individual player in the coming weeks?

Yep.. I agree totally with the need for timers. This here forever thinking is taking away a major element in this game and with that goes many of the players who love the hustle and bustle of expiring items :(

I agree with timers for hair and some clothes themes but not for the furniture store - absolutely not! There is little enough choice for us in there as it is without taking more of it out. If the 'dead' themes were removed there would be plenty of store space for new items to be added - and we're told it is going to take some time to put new furniture themes out.

As clothes & hair are released more frequently and people like to change their look often, then yes, it makes more sense to have some on timers to make room for the next lot.

Decorating is completely different and takes a lot more time so the items should stay in the store a lot longer. I have so many unfinished rooms because I simply cannot find the discontinued items I need - I don't see how anyone can lose money by some of these furniture items being rereleased because no one is selling them - and trust me I look everywhere everyday for what I still need.

I really hope BVG don't follow Zynga's policy of having everything in and out of the store before you can blink just to make a quick profit. With furniture items I'm sure the sales are steadier over time than they are with clothes and hair - those people tend to buy as soon as they are released and I imagine sales peak then tail off quickly.

i understand bvg wants to give players a fair chance to buy. part of the game is rares. its taking away the value and please remove seasonal items from the stores. fun part of halloween and x-mas is to look for those rares. it gives sellers time to sell before the new holiday items are released.

so many complaints about things that BVG is obviously trying to change...Timers every week were one of Zynga's ways to push people into buying - obviously, their way didn't turn out that well for the game overall.
Things are changing, suck it up
