Yes that's me!
You aren't going to believe this, but I never got to see the show ha ha ha!

I am hoping it comes out on DVD so I can finally see it, LOL.

It was so much fun to film. National Geographic came out and filmed me in my home for 5 dayz, then we drove to Dallas Texas to see my Environmental Medicine doc who has brought me a long way towards healing. I still have a ways to go, but am slowly getting there.
I was so hoping the episode would gain some awareness of MCS to the public, and the cause of the illness-which are exposure to toxins in our everyday products.
A lot of what I said got cut out of the episode, as they took 5 full dayz of film. I am so curious what did not get aired.

I have met many just like me living life after environmental poisoing.
A totally brave and inspirational collective are those of us living with MCS. I am honored to call them my friends.

Wow I swear this game is something else :o I'm so surprised.
I tried looking for this episode, but apparently it's nowhere to be found for free.
The episode was named " Body shock " and had presented several cases about people suffering from strange body "malfuncitons" or rare, misterious diseases. Unfortunately, the purpose of the show is not about gaining awarness ,because of the great variety of subjects, they usually present cases that are considered "taboo" in the modern society.
I don't want to give out any spoilers lol. Also, my opinion on the subject does not matter at all.
I do wish you all the best and that one day you can regain your freedom. :) Best of luck

Indeed it is.
I almost didn't agree to do the show, knowing what a circus side-show they make out of their topics.
My episode was origionally supposed to be an hour long stand alone episode, but when I refused to sign a clause giving National Geographic permission to misrepresent or use my words to lie it was cut down to a segment on a very unrelated and bizarre show.
My illness is not as uncommon as they would have you believe. There are millions afflicted by this around the world.
It seems that 60% of the human population carry a gene that makes them sensitive to chemical exposure. There are signs that you may be in this 60%, as it starts off gradually with you becoming allergic or sensitive (Ie: migraines or non-IGA reactions to foods and other substances). I had warning signs had I known what to look for. I first became sensitive to MSG and could no longer eat Chinese food. Slowly things got added, like liquor would give me migraines. But other than that, I had no allergies or sensitivities when I got my chemical over exposure staying in a newly remodeled turn of the century hotel. So much outgassing of building materials, it hit you the moment you walked throught the front door. To make the situation worse, the air handling system was not working at the time, and was still undergoing renovations. All the windows had been nailed shut. By 3 am I woke with a start undergoing full chemical reaction with numb limp body and barely breathing. Had I not woke up suddenly I believe I would have stopped breathing and just expired there on the spot!
My life was forever changed after this happened. I am now allergic to EVERYTHING under the sun!!

Other's get their over exposures breathing airplane cabin air, some get an exposure to mold, some gradually get exposed vs all of a sudden smelling things like colognes, air freshners, sun screen, flea collars, deet, and laundry dryer sheets etc etc....all toxic products-their body one day just has had enough and succombs to MCS.
If you detect you are becoming sensitive to things the longer you're on our toxic planet, there is a good chance you carry this gene (60% of us do).

What will turn all of this around is to clean up our polluted planet, clean the chemcials out of our food-or just eat organic, and stop using toxic fragranted colored chemicals around the house.

Is a scary world outside of YoWorld, LOL

Me too, LOL.
I haven't found anything yet, but will definitely come in and show it off if I do.
Just having my story be told is reward enough for me.
You know me personally, and know I live to help others. If my story saves even one person from getting sick, than was well worth the sharing.

I admire your strength and your effort to raise awarness amongst others on this matter.
I had no idea eighter that there is something like this out there, if it wasn't for the Taboo show with your story.I'm aware of the chemicals we're exposed to, it's always good to be reminded though.I appreciate it. Of course, as you mentioned,I see a lot more people around me suffering from different allergies.
As for the Taboo episode about you, to me, it didn't feel as if they made a circus out of it. It was was actually pretty objective and impartial, for a show that is meant to shock its viewers.
As I have found out, this is an extremely controversial subject in the medical world, as it's not oficially and widely accepted as an illness .I mean no disrespect with this.
Regardless, it's affecting people and that should not be ignored or treated lightly. I have no knowledge on this except that show and a few online articles I read, so I can't say more. This is all I know.
I'm sure it's a terrible thing to have to live with but don't lose your hope , continue your work inspiring others. :)
Again, I sincerely wish you the best and hope that one day you can become imune

King Adam, do you remember the Movie Boy in the Bubble. Life is a lot like that for us living with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.
This illness has been called by many names-the first time it surfaced was during the Vietnam war when all the soldiers were getting sick from being gassed with the defoliant Agent Orange. It showed up during the Gulf War too, being called Gulf War Syndrome.
It's been Called Environmental Poisoning, Aerotoxic poisoning, all the same illness.

It's cause is the same.....exposure to modern day environmental toxins.

It is currently not treated by mainstream medicine, and little understood by them.
Environmental medicine and alternative medicine offer treatments, but it takes a very long time to respond. The current treatment is infra red sauna detox, removing all the toxins from your environment and food, remove all allergens and sensitivities, and lots of rest and filtered spring water, LOL.
