I didn't post it because I was unhappy. I posted it because I pride myself on living a very honest life, almost to the point of it being ridiculous how high I value truth in myself and others. Perhaps slander was the wrong word, maybe I should have used libel. Either way.. I hold honesty and truth above all else, and even though we've never met and the chance that we will is slim I don't like the thought of anyone feeling like they can't trust me. Even if they don't know me well enough to do so. ;D

Just keep doing what you do. People make mistakes and try as we may, we are only human and it will happen eventually.
I've gifted the wrong person SO many times, it ain't funny. Wrong links. Meeting someone on bl and leaving a gift, only to find out I wasn't at their house.......haha...just roll with it. The more you talk about it, the worse it will get.

I feel bad that you felt you had to do this.
But I understand your reasons why.
Sorry this happened :|

Libel then, not slander. My name was posted in a signature claiming that I was getting gifts that were meant for someone else, as if I had some genius plan I came up. It was an honest mistake.
It's been taken care of though, by myself and the other party. So it's over.
I intentionally left names out of it so it wouldn't be an ongoing thing.

Our mistakes do not define us, our actions following them do.

I know you were trying to clear up your mistake publicly, but there are people on forums like me, who don't go into wishlists section, so when you post it in discussions then way more people are exposed to that needlessly who wouldn't have heard about it otherwise.

In any case, keep doing good because even if you are misunderstood sometimes, it hopefully won't change your helpful nature.

Thank you for your confession... Your penance for these grievous errors will be to take 5 Bloody Marys & call me in the morning. Peace be with you...

I think I get what your trying to say there, OP. Lol but a bit confusing. I was trying to figure out where you had done something that you felt may slander you when I realized that what your explaining is that you must have used your own APT link when making an apt link for someone else. That someone else had put requests for gifts to be sent to her/his APT via the link you made, but it sent gifts to your APT instead???? If thats not it… then heck.. IDK whats going on!! heheh… Either way, mistakes happen for goodness sake and it didn't look like anything serious by what you shared w/ us here. HAGN! :D

Yeah I was burning through help requests and somehow sent her my apt link. Got gifted 2 gifts, then a third after this was posted. But I sent them back to the people that sent them.

OHh mann.. I understand how you felt terrible, an honest thing you were doing and you felt that they thought you were scamming for gifts. :( You did all you could, sent back gifts and made restitution by coming to the Forum explaining it all so that ppl would understand that it wasn't your intent in the first place. Ive seen you post here by your other screen name and have thought you always were helpful and nice to folks. And Im sure those that know you well feel the same.. :D Relax… take a breather and tomorrow is another day! ;)

From what I can see the mistake is she said she was 44 years old. I am sure it was meant to say 4!

And why wouldn't she check the link? Don't worry you can never do enough for some people.

I don't think they thought he was scamming for gifts,Neither he knew of ACCIDENT nor other person till the other person started getting called nasty names for not playing that gifting game by rules..Thats where from looking at both sides This got blown out. Things got confusing when it was an Honest mistake on BOTH parties.

What a greedy, ungrateful piece of crud that person is. YOU should show those message box or whatever they are comments to the two people who gift her. And you should report her for harassment.

He should find where she really lives and go knock her around make her pay the scamming nasty girl ,that will teach her. Cause its all her fault every bit of it. How dare her not know what to do when she was called mean things when she had no idea those gifts were being sent to the wrong place.
