I'm glad the OP got gifted some grass! I looked but don't have any (that I can find.......I admit my houses are somewhat disorganized!)

It's not like they're highly valuable pieces! Taking that stuff out was one of Z's biggest mistakes... And not listening to the designers who pump money into this game monthly could be BVG's mistake too. This kind of stuff being put back in stores shouldn't even figure into the rerelease dead horse IMHO. Denying designers with that argument is narrow-minded and selfish. BVG has made it clear that they're desperate to make money and here's a way!! Something as simple as this will get people whipping out those credit cards a lot faster than shaming them into getting a badge. Not to mention customer retention and satisfaction..... it's a win win.

This thread and this post is resonating with me. To the OP, I am feeling you and this was a brave original post given the recent forum climate. To Sooz, I am not sure the intention was to shame people and I certainly am not ashamed that I have not whipped out my credit card. I am actually just sort of blue that I do not have a reason to. I WANT to spend my money as I have in the past, but what to spend it on? I would have bought those pets that were released by mistake, but I was at work and missed them. As far as customer retention... I hope it happens soon. So many of my friends have slipped away again quietly. I must still be with a will to play in me, or I would not be here posting.

There is no doubt, in my mind at least, that revealing personal company finances and the badge system was a psychological ploy that worked on some and obviously didn't work on others. ;)
Like you said, you're seeing friends slip away again... From a business standpoint, putting stuff back in the stores for designers makes financial sense. They spend A LOT of money on this game but aren't as vocal as others. Greg is heavily financially involved here and I think he's emotionally involved a bit too much too (being the game daddy and all) and wants to please everybody... but he never will. He's gotta think $$$$ ;)

I started this post so anyone who love doing this kind of stuff in this game would have a chance to do so, and not spend days & weeks looking for simple decorators item like that or spend millions of coins on that kind of stuff.
I can't thank you enough for your generosity.

No thanks necessary :) It was my pleasure. I think it's ridiculous for people to be price gouging grass tiles... they should be ashamed of themselves. ;)

I am here for the same reason as you. I love this game, it helped me many times to relax & cope with many thing that were going on in my RL. I really do not need stress when I pay to play a game.

His post did affect me, but not in the way I suppose it may have others. It made me even more cautious... although I think he is a true knight and absolutely someone I want to support and follow. I am more a decorator myself, and I sell very, very seldom any of my things. I have in the past been a VIP and a regular paying customer.

I have NO problem with things being put back in stores as long as it does not bring harm to the game and others. I was hoping that instead of rehashing the old, we would get new shiny Viking things to play with. And I do hear that will happen, the sooner the better I am thinking for the health of the game. I am going to spend money when product appears, that is a given. But I have to feel it to do it, and to have things to spend it on that I will enjoy.

You also spoke of customer satisfaction, for me that is the last key piece. I have old homes with contents I cannot access, I once again get the white screen that kicks you out of the game. This is not a game ender, but it is adding to me feeling in a funk, especially as one home is the 09 Halloween and all my old Halloween things in it. Add in lack of friends to visit with, coins to make, gifts to send.... I am struggling. I do not need it to go back to the old, I am waiting for the new. This all is just how I am feeling and I do not expect others to follow the same thoughts. That is what makes us individuals and diversified.

That is so true. Sounds like they are hurting financially, and if people like me whose sole purpose in this game is decorating start leaving, they may not be able to survive... financially. And I thank you very much again. I will post finished room, when I am finished, lol

I hear ya Di... and we're pretty much on the same page. I've bought yc just to show my support but there's really nothing to spend it on. So why buy more? I like to get something for my money. LOL. I think the designers are a forgotten aspect of this game. I see far too many people fighting over rereleases and it usually boils down to the cupids, rets, collectibles and people tend to forget the little things like grass, walls, rocks etc that keep the designers happy and playing.
And that's a damn shame about your 09 Halloween place! I'd be freaking out! LOL.. not buying that place is my #1 Yo regret. :( LOL

Thank you so much. Hugs. The hardest part of the 09 Halloween is that it came back for weeks, and with the last release the white screen returned again. I could not bear to empty it when it last returned and thought it fixed. There are some really special Halloween things in it I am trying to let go of as I write this. I did get the old Christmas out of my Contemporary, but the other things I had left in storage there are a real shame.

I love my homes and I spent untold hours decorating in happiness. I am so grateful to BVG and I want to see them reap benefits from this game and not lose anything. I am going to do my part, but please give me the way to do it that feels good. And, I also feel like I just made a friend. :) Thank you for that.

You do know the Kentucky Races turf is still in the store for 699 coins each, don't you? They make great grass tiles.

Aw, I feel the same way. :) I know what you mean about those 09 Halloween things. That's the first time I bought yocash and I love my eyeball and pumpkin lights and pumpkin furniture... I hope BVG gets it all straightened out for you. They've done good so far in that area so hopefully it's just a matter of time! ;)

Sure...Bvg already said no re-releases. It's been said a couple of times by them.

They've already re-released a lot of things people have worked really hard to get...

just keep in mind, if you overlap them it will show.. they can be placed in exact spots, not drop and leave.. they also can only be place on walkable areas.. you have to use 'black edit' to cover black areas.. which leads to the overlapping issue.. unless placed perfectly in 'black edit' you will see overlapping..

You really should have your 40 friends come here and speak for themselves. I say this only because anyone can say they have 40 friends that feel the same way. I mean if they feel they all want re-releases

Just saying too :D

But there are people who dont talk much and just act on it.
Yeah and there's people that just talk too ;) but i'm not going to argue. Bvg said no re-releases and that's good enough for me. I just figured with them stating that in black and white that maybe we wouldn't see these kind of post anymore but I guess I was wrong lol
It will be ok :)
